Michael Carrick is up next with a 70% win record : And then there’s Akpom 9th Mar 2023 11:23
Swansea City fans will be hoping Chuba Akpom needs a rest this weekend, the Middlesbrough striker has twenty one goals to his name this season, the best campaign of his career. His goal return has been nothing short of incredible as has been Michael Carrick’s management journey to date. 0

Joe Allen in fitness race and Paterson could make a home return 9th Mar 2023 12:45
This week has seen the Swans without a fixture enabling Russell Martin and his team to assess the Joe Allen muscle pull which he rated as ‘hopefully not too bad’ this week. It’s clear selecting Joe or rushing his inclusion for Saturday will aggravate the injury, so we can expect him to miss the big game against Middlesbrough ( Kick off 3pm ) 0

The pressure is all on Michael Carrick today : Swans v Boro 11th Mar 2023 10:00
A big crowd is expected today for the championship clash between Swansea City and Middlesbrough at the swansea.com stadium. Boro are top of the table on current form and coach Michael Carrick’s is yet to experience any downturn in his clubs on the pitch performances since taking over the reigns on Teesside. 0

Second half disaster for error strewn Swansea City 11th Mar 2023 16:59
Swansea City slumped to their sixth defeat in nine games since exiting the FA Cup to Bristol City in mid January this afternoon at the Swansea.com stadium. Middlesbrough were one down at half time but whatever was going through the Swansea players minds in the second half is beyond comprehension. A Jay Fulton goal ruled out for office started the drama as Boro made short work of a poor Swansea defence. 2

Sorinola whose legs went a while back only just getting subbed and replace by Whitaker for 7 mins. Can you believe this?

Yes this is Martin all over, if we had lost another player to injury we'd have been down to 10 again for last 10 mins, why didn't he bring Whittaker on when Paterson came on and he was brought on to late in the game.

Do I remember correctly that Millwall was dry last time we played at their place? I try not to drink on school nights but the idea of watching the next match sober is starting to scare me…

We will probably survive this league due to others’ results but this is unacceptable.
What’s he going to say tonight. Brave, intensity, proud???

No physicality.
No pace.
No defence.
No width.
Won almost no second balls.
Didn’t close their players down.

It could have been a lot worse if they’d taken more if their chances.

HE HAS TO GO!!!

Why didn't Whittaker start in the forward midfield role in place of the largely irrelevant Cundle? Why does our most consistently creative midfielder start most games on the bench?

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I see a separation by mutual consent in the Summer. The club is making no progress. The transfer window was irrelevant. A strong 18 man squad with hardly any injuries is not progressing.

1st - over-committed on our own corner, and ridiculously exposed on the counter. Even then, Grimes failed to stop Ramsey's shot
2nd - Ntcham trying to play offside when a ball's looped back into the box. Either he or Fisher could have challenged the header. Neither did.
3rd - brainless challenge by Lati for the pelanty

Thought both 1st and 2nd goals had a hint of offside on them.

Didn’t mind the first half even though Middlesbrough had a number of chances.
They started the second half on the front foot and you sensed it wouldn’t be long, and our defence duly obliged, the inevitable collapse followed.
First home game I have been able to go to for a while, finding it very frustrating watching us, we were 3-1 down and still messing around with it at the back, it’s madness.

Where I was sitting both goals both looked offside and the attempt later which hit the side netting was again offside, hence the ironic cheers when the linesman put his flag up

Fair play to Middlesbrough, pleasure watching them play. I came away from game so depressed because of the reality check on how far we have fallen.

I don't even know where to start, wing back formation, Sorinola and Joel Lati in same team, lack of attacking players in starting line up, no pace in team, comedy defending etc.

Even when you know, you never know?

They were both well on side.

I think Fisher could have come out for their first. I’d need to see it again but I was expecting to see him appear and put it out. He should have been standing on his 18 yd box line which should h@ve made it easy for him to challenge. I think.

Second one completely down to N’tcham. He just watched it fall into the scorers head. Fisher shouldn’t be blamed too much for that but there’s an argument he could have stepped out and claimed it.

The third. Latibeaudiere brain fart. Again!

First goal I thought was definitely offside the second was marginal but probably OK. The penalty was a stupid challenge. Personally I thought we were a lot better today, but that's not saying a lot. Fulton was our best player by a country mile IMO.
