Burgess and Key errors hand Stoke City the points13th Dec 2025 16:11 The Swans could have come away from this game with a point but two errors gave Stoke City the win today. And when there was opportunity to decrease the lead for half an hour in the second half the choices made were beyond poor. Adam Idah not acknowledging a decent travelling Swansea support didn’t go down well either at the end. Some would say the involvement of Josh Key and Cameron Burgess in this game was an error by Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos. Key especially.1

Does this make it easier or harder for us
no easy games in this div, for me this is going to be a good yardstick to see if the new boss is making any differance, Stoke has never been one of our best hunting grounds in recent times just hope we can keep our improvment going upwards

Will diffo be a big test, with 3 losses on the bounce they'll be looking for a result tomorrow, I'll take a draw.
I'm nervous and excited about this game. Alot of positivity is back, but I am worried about this one. I really hope we take it to them. 3 wins in a row or even a draw would be massive.

My concern is it we go two goals up.

The problem is more the timing of the goals. Going 2-0 up in the first 20 minutes allows plenty of time for a fight back. Let’s score them at 90+1 and 90+2 of 2 mins added time😁
He’s no ball player, mind you the guy who scored I’m told should have had a second yellow before the goal. This ref is another example of total incompetence.

Committed 2 bookable fouls but cautioned for neither. Not scored since 2019 so it was on the cards of course. Booked for a shirt pull after he scored.

Yes, he should have been booked before that but all in all I think the ref has been ok.
Burgess though! I’m starting to lose confidence in this guy. His misplaced pass led to that goal.😡

He is an old fashioned thumper. Boots or heads the ball away, with no direction.
