No not at all. You may as well call the SCST parasites as well. As ordinary Welsh people they took a small risk and hit the bulls eye and could have cashed in for a cool £21m. Why they did not is a mystery and perhaps explain why Wales is not a thriving area of UK. They wanted to hold their share and have guarantees instead of cash in the bank. Guarantees cost. The SCST could still get £10m from the 5% if all is as it seems. That would be for a £200m valuation of the club.
Coleman has invested and bought shares in the club.at a championship price. He came over here with his family and was open and upbeat but made some poor appointments Duff and Williams perhaps.

Agree with everything there, my concern is offers coming in for players like Franco and unsettling the squad. With 3rd to 8th being in the play offs next season every club will fancy their chances and it will be a very competitive league. |
If we're not financially stable enough to hold onto players we want to hold onto and just want to be a selling club, then why are they talking about getting promoted back to the "promise land"? I get it that some players would want to move on to try and achieve their dream, but surely the club can sell the clubs dream to them especially the established players etc, other clubs manage to hold onto to their players in the main, but to lose 3 maybe 4 players who are basically the spine of the squad ain't gonna help SCFC realise their dream.
We can't just go on sourcing these players to then lose them after a season or two, we are never gonna get any progression, when we need to keep players and add similar quality to the squad, etc. [Post edited 30 May 0:14]

In principle I agree but if you sell at a very good price and are able to source players under potential market value you can progress and build a good promotion squad. Any player we sell this summer we will get a lot more than we paid for them. |  | | |

Spot on S and a point I’ve made in here quite recently.
If you could guarantee getting players in that are as good or better every time then we sell then with some patience you could build up the coffers to support players longer term. But of course that can’t be guaranteed.
It takes time to build a team where the players can read each other. That’s not going to happen selling silverware at every opportunity. |  |

We are a selling club. It's pointless hoping we can be otherwise. We simply don't have the resources (under current financing rules) to turn down significant offers for our better players. 99% of other clubs are in the same boat, just at different scales.
What matters is not what we sell. It never has. What matters is how good we are at reinvesting the proceeds. Selling players for £20m but being savvy enough to replace them for £5m will eventually put us in a financial position strong enough to turn down anything but the highest bids. |  |

To expect Swansea or any championship club to hold onto their best players is simply ridiculous. The last few non parachute payment teams to get promoted all had big sales (~40million intotal) in order to fund themsleves and Improve their teams.

Being able to uncover the diamonds in the rough is real talent ,but you need a top recruiting team for that and we don’t have one at the moment,we have players highlighted by Adam Worth we may or may not move for but we need to pull our fingers out and put a DOF in place asap
Next season I think the 3 relegated teams will be very strong and are going to be favourites to go straight back up ,the play offs are going to be the best a lot of the current championship sides can hope for
A tough season awaits ,we have to recruit well and hopefully not lose too many good players just to finish above half way
I think the playoffs will be a tough ask but always live in hope | | | |
