Shouldn't have been a surprise as the stadium and shop have been cashless for a while. Much has been posted about that ...but still doesn't help

What a shameful experience. This is where the club need to work harder. Is there a cash point in there ? it’s the least the club could do. And take off any charge if buying merchandise or tickets. This is where the club lacks ideas, the basics are not hard.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Keith there are many now who find it easier to budget without using cards. They withdraw every week what they have to spend and thats it, no credit or borrowing. To be honest I salute them for talking control of their finances.

It may not be the case for this poster but it is a rising trend in this country. The club should think about it.

It’s not that I don’t have cards I do but I just was passing and thought I want to go to the match and stopped to purchase tickets but didn’t have my card with me.
On a separate note the shop looks really good, but the staff needs some serious training, lots of them just walking around doing nothing

The country as a whole is moving towards a cashless society. There’s no stopping it unfortunately.

It clearly is a better way for most but does disadvantage the few. It’s clearly easier for the business. And HMRC are well in favour of it I’m sure.

For those who don’t have bank accounts, and there aren’t many nowadays, then a pre-paid card is what they need (if they exist).

Would think most would want our strongest team to start to get the season off to a good result, if we get past this game then there will be more opportunities to fine tune the team especially when the number of fixtures come thick and fast.
Home game, best start required and a big crowd, will be disappointing if we don't get both

Agree EFL have broken with tradition making this the opening competitive game of the season.
A great move in my opinion.
Previous seasons final friendly before first league match normally showed manager's favored starting 11.

Traditionally most Premier League/Championship teams play at least a couple of other players in the cup games. I think it'll be a strong team, but still think Fisher will start as Cup GK.

Fulton may be another.

Can only see Eom and Ronald starting as a "go out there and show me why you should be starting against Stoke next week". I wouldn't be surprised to see them start or benched if Matos wants to use this as another game to integrate Yeo, Opoku and Just into the starting XI.

Back 4 is anyone's guess with Welsh coming in and Lissah back.

It'll be a strong team whatever we put out.

Not something I would have said a short while back but I’ve no problem with Fisher starting. His confidence and hence his ability has improved since the pressure of being first choice under Martin. The complete package? Maybe not but good enough I’d say.

Taking his post at face value, I wouldn’t expect him to lie ? There doesn’t seem to be reason why he would, otherwise he would be telling us about his three tickets and how he was looking forward to the game. My outlaws don’t pay by card ever. Hence my question on a cash point.

Seems logical.

Plus the extra pressure put on him under Russell Martin to play as an extra centre half.
Benda suffered the same way and he has developed into a decent keeper.

Don't think we should have left Benda go he had a good run but then got injured , if memory serves me right.

The clubs asked for it and so the EFL bowed to them. Nice to see the EFL doing what the clubs actually want.

Cheers, my main point and question was about the number of times that they have been on the terrestrial Welsh channels.

Cardiff, Wrexham then us if we're lucky the unfairness of it all is astounding.

That’s a fair side.

Swansea City: Lawrence Vigouroux; Filip Lissah, Ben Cabango (captain), Cameron Burgess, Josh Tymon; Marko Stamenic, Melker Widell, Elijah Just; Moussa Yeo, Joseph Opoku; Adam Idah.

Substitutes: Andy Fisher, Josh Key, Jay Fulton, Zan Vipotnik, Jisung Eom, Tiago Parente, Leo Walta, Stephen Welsh, Ronald
