Liverpudlian Comedian Ken Dodd has passed away at a good old age of 90. Saw him being released from hospital a couple of days back, after he had been suffering with a bad chest infection. Too be honest he was not my cup of tea, largely because he performed a watered down version of his act on TV. However, he definitely had his fans and followers, especially on the live comedian circuit.

Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

Saw him years ago in Llandrindod. The show started at 8pm. He finally came off stage at around 2.30am. Full of energy, very funny.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I remember the joke doing the rounds many years ago when the Inland Revenue caught up with him for alleged tax dodging, he said he'd paid all his taxes correctly.
"Did you hear, Ken Dodd's got two new Diddy men?
Diddy Pay, and Diddy F*ck."

Can you remember him at the end of his tax trial? When he was cleared he whipped out a pair of tickling sticks from up his sleeves and cheered ‘Waayhaay.’ The Judge had to cover his face until he could compose himself. Bonkers!

Took Amy to see him in the Grand about ten years ago. He must have told about 2,000 jokes on the night and not one of them was funny. Boring Scouce prick.

Time and a place Darran. You didn't enjoy his show that's fine. The rest - wholly unnecessary

It’s my opinion piss off. Another Thatcher loving Tory like that other twát Cilla Black.
I hate the Tories as much as the next man, but if we filter out our entertainment providers through their political leanings and beliefs, we end up watching "One Man and His Dog" (there again I'm sure lots of farms are either Lib Dems or Tories ! )

Exactly.

He played the local working men's club about 40 years ago for £700. When asked about payment he said £350 cash and £350 cheque. If I remember correctly at his trial, his celebrity pals, who his defence called as witnesses, had the jury in stitches. Wasn't a total surprise that he got off with it. His shows were legendary though but that's a different matter.
