Lack of testing is due to not enough demand. Is the guy deluded ?
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Did he really say that ? link
Yes he did infer that. Couldn't make it up. He reminds me of something out of a Little Britain sketch. The reason why he's not achieving his testing targets is because not enough people want to be tested, so it's our fault not his. Bravo!

dear god ,with people like him in charge it's no wonder we're in this mess ,my wife works in a hospital she's not been tested ,nether have loads of other workers who work there
test test test and hunt down contacts for testing of those who've been tested positive, it's the only way forward

I spoke at length to a health worker who said this.
I obviously wouldn't lie on the phone about having symptoms as obviously I'd be clogging up the system plus would have to self isolate and be off work on SSP.
This is a poor situation at present.
There should be 24/7 testing locations. It would give people piece of mind and possibly increase the chances of a slow , gradual reopening of the economy - if of course majority tested negative.

Only if I have symptoms can I get tested.

The bit i dont get though is that the Antigen testing only shows if you've got it, so you rock up in your car swab and hand back and wait 48hrs for a result.
Until we get a reliable validated test that shows if we have had it, we will have to isolate until a vaccine is trialed or take the risk.
I would like to know how many have had it, without presenting severe symptoms as everyone seems to assume they had it over Xmas period

Hancock latest - 50,000 NHS workers have now been tested. What he forgot to say is that there are 1.5 million workers. So 1 in 30 have been tested. Fcking madness it really is.

Just to add that I assume many of the 50,000 would have come back negative, I assume again that many would need testing again and again and again. It's a moving target that will not be achieved, so I hope I don't hear a fanfare when some milestone figure is achieved.

Presumably though, it’s only worth antigen testing when there are symptoms, it’s pointless testing people who are well until we have antibody testing whether they work for the NHS or not.
The whole testing situation is absolutely farcical.
Having labs available without using capacity is criminal.

Best guess is 4% of the population has had it up to about a week ago. So people probably had something else around Xmas.
