There are feral populations of rose-ringed parakeets in most conurbations in Europe and elsewhere. They are non-migratory so once they have a self-sustaining population somewhere, they are usually there to stay. Whenever I do outside installation jobs in London, particularly SW, it's rare these days for there not to be groups of parakeets flying around and shrieking.

Yup, that's part of the area I had in mind, NE Surrey/SW London, but I've seen them in Central London too, Covent Garden area.
