Arguably our best player. Cooper impressed, very confident carrying the ball forward whilst also defending well and I liked the look of Downes. I think there’s still a lot of fine tuning to do, but there was a lot to be happy with.

To me Cabango should play alongside the ball playing centre half and be an option rather than the central ball player. Arsenal bought a central ball playing centre half for £50 million. He played alongside more physical central defenders as part of a three or in other positions that utilised his ball playing ability at Brighton. Arsenal played him as part of a central two alongside an equally physically weak centre half. I detest Franck but he could see what to do. All about balance and we don’t have that yet.

I don't know him, I have zero opinions on him with regards to like or disliking him. But have noticed that he has become a bit of a troll with regards to the clubs management. So calling it out in order to add a dose of reality like all good doctors is always the order of the day. He isn't the only one. Being popular isn't my remit. Its easy to be a clapping seal and buy into the alternate reality that the mob appreciates. Not something I can ever see myself wanting to do though. I find it rather bizarre to be perfectly honest.

I must mention Downes though - I thought for a full home debut his performance was excellent. I’d like to see his pass completion rate, must have been quite high. He linked well with Grimes and was always looking to get us on the front foot

IMO Manning was MoM and Cooper played really well, as for Latti I was not over impressed I thought he was always 5 meters to far forward and continually in an offside position waiting for the ball. In his defence he was probably to to play high, but his lack of experience in that position was clear to see. Hopefully he will learn from yesterday evening.

Yep this is correct, but he was being pushed there by RM. I see this lad playing an old fashioned sweeper type role somehow.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Yep, I thought a few players were off the pace yesterday with Jamal being amongst them, this could be for a few reasons and will improve.

Yep, Latibeaudiere was pretty poor but he gets points for being a willing worker playing a new role he's not got the technical ability for. Cooper's got a far better passing range/variety than Rodon but he'll face tougher tests as a 1v1 defender and doesn't look any quicker than Ryan Bennett. Not had a preseason, though. Does look leaner than he did last year. Manning can have the left-side of defence job from here on.
