It’s a magnificent return for Oliver Robert McBurnie to his home city of Swansea, the team he loves and adores, the best thing that ever happened to him. He loves the swans ! So boo him at every turn, don’t applaud this oaf for ninety minutes he is the enemy, then say “Hi mate, you loves the swans mush “
Saturday 14th August 2021 Swansea City v Sheffield United The newly named stadium Kick Off 8pm
LIVE a on SKY and on Swans TV if you like a dark market.
Officials Keith Stroud will be the referee for Swansea City’s Championship fixture against Sheffield United on Saturday. Stroud has taken charge of the Swans on eight occasions across the past two seasons. He will be assisted by Ian Cooper and Sam Lewis, while Sam Allison will be the fourth official. Keith still collects small beach pebbles from the beach at Forest Green. Sometimes he throws them at his neighbours cats, who throw them back at him. Apparently.
Player to watch - Tommy Butler
Tommy Butler, the very name strikes fear in to the hearts of blades fans. The mercurial attacker / non attacker, with silky smooth gravy making skills and a little bit of Irish wit is the player to watch on Saturday night. It is expected he will start the game or maybe even not start the game dependent if he has been round Joel Piroe’s house or not. Although Russell Martin “Doesn't know Tommy” he has heard of him as he left a plastic turd in his office last Monday morning. Many swans fans will be looking forward to seeing Tommy again, especially if he brings his plastic dancing bear and veterinary anal infiltrator.
What is a McBurnie McBurnie means “Div” in Gaelic. And when you search on the term it explains “ Becomes a div after consumption of the devils drink” Oliver has made the headlines a few times since he left the swans, buying people beer, making gestures towards the tramps in Cardiff, booting members of the public about and driving whilst slaughtered, he has done a great job in keeping up his PR profile. A lot of people who like Olly do so not because he is a nice guy, which we all know he is, but because he played for Swansea City. Weird eh ? He is also a lovely generous chap. Just drink water mate.
Russell Martin’s biggest test as a manager is here : Today ! 14th Aug 2021 09:39 The day is here for Russell Martin, due to obscure regulations on crowds at sporting events in Wales he won’t feel the full atmosphere of a packed Swansea City stadium, but his biggest football management day to date is here.0
Russell Martin : Those brilliant moments are not far away15th Aug 2021 09:00 Swansea City drew at home to Sheffield United in a goalless draw at the Swansea.Com stadium in front on the SKY Sports TV cameras last night. 16,000 was the capped capacity for the game and they watched a solid performance from the swans.0
So many players have put their hands up for selection. it's hard to predict the starting 11 unlike the last two seasons. We can rest players this season and not run them into the ground. I for one am already really excited with our coaching team and the squad we now have. Lovely to see Dan Williams get his chance last night, and my didn't he take it? I wouldn't be confident predicting more than maybe 5 of our starting 11 at this stage! Benda, Naughton, Cabango, Grimes, and Lowe. I would hope and expect to see Piroe starting again, and Whitaker also had a really good game last night.

Great post and my thoughts exactly on saturdays team selection, the new boss has a nice selection headache on his hands.

Everything is experimental and hard to second guess what Martin has seen. Lowe and Cullen were left on the bench does that mean he was resting them for Saturday or preparing Whittaker and Piroe for 90 minutes?
I'd be inclined to go for the same formation as last night but Benda Cooper Naughton Cabango (worked well) Bidwell ...Flynn ...Grimes........ Latty .........Lowe ...... Whittaker ............... Piroe

I think probably about 3 maybe 4000 season ticket holders will give it a miss. Due to; 8pm kick off on a Saturday night. Some won’t want to mix with people yet. The game being live on sky.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Is the option still there to put their ticket back in the pot for someone else to buy.

I've offered my 2 out to friends waiting for them to get back to me... I'm sure that I have read ...if you are not attending to notify the club but they will not resell the tickets

I think if you’re a season ticket holder and not attending you can let the club know via their website to state you won’t be attending that match. They won’t sell your seat but it frees up another ticket available to the general public.

It used to be that the club sold your seats and you got money on your account. Now they want you to tell them if you cant go, they will not sell your seat, but will sell seats elsewhere in the ground to make up the numbers. Very odd.

After a barren year, odds on Brewster to score.
Curse of the former players !
If we can manage to keep a high possession stat hopefully chances will be few and far between for them . I wonder if Downes will start alongside Grimes with Pato ahead of them?
Each time I go to Bedd - au........................

TBF the season tickets last season were so cheap the proportion you'd get returned wouldn't cover the handling costs.
