Then after Grimes cock up we went more direct, went at Boro and soon equalised at which point we went back to how we were doing it before. Why do we have to cut ourselves open before performing surgery on the oppo?

He is also limited in stature which means against the more physical sides in this league he’s going to be outmuscled.
I don’t see Martin binning him though. He was his choice and will give him every chance to get him to justify his selection. This will spill over into next season as well I’ve no doubt. |  |

A decent reply but one which must be taken into context.This season ,he ha been horrendous ;today less obviously but he is the root of our defensive errors.Goalkeepers are.
He could have and almost was beaten twice today.
He does not command his area and is no great shot stopper. He was the coach's primary target. | |

Look at the table, if we had won the last 3 games we would be level on points with Millwall, 3 points behind the Blades but with a game in hand.
It just goes to show how rubbish this division is generally. We have been fairly poor half of the time but with 6 games left we could still have had a shot at the play offs from 14th spot.
People are happy with the way things are going but is this season a missed opportunity? We didn't need to be much better to make it to the play offs again and how many points have we spunked away? Then compare that to how many points we have that we didn't deserve, I reckon we are well behind where we could be. | | | |

You'll be delighted to learn that we have been doing exactly that for years. The vast majority of academy sides "play the right way" in some form or another these days, we're not exactly special.
But you can't iron out all the mistakes at a lower standard of football. Mistakes will always be there when the intensity rises. | | | |

Not so much of getting rid of the ball ( god I hate hearing that at any level) but knowing when to go long or short, sometimes a quick ball over the top ( as we've seen recently) does reap rewards and nearly did so today with Obefemi in the 1st half. Too many times today we played it "safe" not willing to turn forward , which is either because players are not being told by their team mates where the opposition is or their drilled only to play it safe . | |
