Did Mr Martin use this term last night to describe the boos

I ll hold back as it looks he didn’t describe the fans booing as such.
If he thinks fans have no say ,then he is thicker than I thought .
His job in untenable,it should be obvious .
It isn’t .
I’m rather upset this week as a long time, long distance Jack is leavin* for his last gig in the sky.we were exchanging pithy posts even though he was terminally ill. I’ve lost other long term friends recently back home with whom I used to go to the Vetch .

I feel the memories of these people are being sullied by HIM. And I find it hard to stay calm

We ve been in worse league positions but the disconnect between fans and the club is growing .

I’ve commented previously as to how clubs in poor form manage to get points from us .

Question is ,how much more

Sad to hear friends of yours have passed away , wish there was more to say , regarding the football , the gates are dropping off and quickly and imo will continue to do so should our performances continue in the seam vein. I've accepted this is our lot as long as his tactics ( one way , strange & at times wasteful substitutions ) continue .Staying up now has to be our one and only focus dispite our present league position but at the moment I just can't see where our next win will come from.

It’s borderline negligence leaving him in situ at this point.

The system doesn’t work
The players look like they either don’t understand the system/aren’t capable of playing it/have given up on it
The crowd is apathetic. The vibe before games is similar to the last few months under Clement. We kind of know what’s going to happen
Awful teams like Rotherham know they can come here without fear

Yes, we’re going to stay up and it’ll be cheaper to appoint a replacement in the summer. We’ll also be back at square one. I’d much rather that now and hit the ground running in August.

That is how I feel.
Clearly the fans passion has been smashed asunder on the Russy altar ,where we are urged to &ollow him no matter what as he knows best and it’s a long term job.
When he inferred only he could make us a proper club was the time to sack .

It’s too late to save this season and we ‘could ‘ * down until we assemble the requisite points.
Now ,consider which teams we could get those points with any confidence. Answer is none .

Every team on a bad run has got points from us.

Rotherham were ,like Blackpool unlucky .

Incredible stuff

They have shown they have no issues spending when needed. Otherwise they wouldn’t need to give the club £16m.

It’s more a case of the pool to select from will be that much larger at the end of the season and of course will have longer to get the right man in place.

I have made no secret of my feelings towards Martins management, but not even I condone his immediate sacking unless the right man is literally ready and waiting.

I don’t believe we will be relegated.

50 points is usually enough to keep you up, often much less. We have 43 now.

Even Russ should be able to get 7 points from 12 games.

Over the last 12 games we have got 12 points and we have been horrific. So I can’t imagine it will get much worse.

I would view your last sentence as optimistic. 12 games against 12 teams that will know how to beat us - there is a straightforward template to be easily followed. For home games the atmosphere reeks of lethargy and disinterest. And what was the real attendance last night - under 10k and falling with each game. Of the 24 seats around me last night only 7 were occupied. Mr Martin does not understand the game, cannot read the game, cannot adapt within games. Thinks Fisher is a Championship goalie, thinks Sorinola should be paid a weekly wage for the garbage he produces every match. From day one when he considered Fulton not good enough for me it has proven he has no idea of how to judge a footballer. His fan club bring up Downes as a response but that "get out of jail card" has long, long since expired.

I’m not concerned we’ll get relegated.

Personal opinion is it’s better to bring the right man in now, I’d be amazed if they don’t have a shortlist of realistic targets, even if it costs a few quid more.

We’re not going to be any more attractive in the summer than we are now, it’s just a case of costing a bit more if he’s already at a club.

We aren’t going to be bringing in experienced managers, it will be a punt on a young, ambitious type again, that shouldn’t break the bank.

At the moment, the players look despondent. I’d far rather give someone the last 10 games of this season to work out which players he likes, how he wants us to play and to implement his ideas. If we try to do all that in pre season, we’ll be at a handicap. Particularly if they let it drag on all summer to get the cheapest deal. False economy.

They do look despondent, desperately depressed too.
Their body language is telling
I am really baffled how Fisher is a professional.
Any goalkeeper of worth takes charge of his defenders and organises
Fish stands motionless and lets others defend . It is horrific to watch .

“Awful teams like Rotherham?”

They certainly aren’t awful. I watched them beat Sunderland last week and against us I thought they were decent. Not easy to play against as they do the basics well.

As for us, we were disappointing. The balance of the team isn’t right and defensively we aren’t solid enough. I think we are the 6 th highest scoring team but we need more pace throughout the side.

The manager is getting stick but he’s man enough to take it on the chin. There are wider deeper issues at our club as the chemistry between owners and the playing side in terms of ambition isn’t right. Martin must be as frustrated as everyone else.

Well, maybe he should deploy the players he does have to play basic football. That means goalkeeper coming for corners and defenders not passing two yards to each other when opponents are pressing.
Rotherham are not very good, but neither were Blackpool who were unlucky against us .
Birmingham were awful before they played us .

Your last paragraph, "So I can’t imagine it will get much worse". Really ? the Stoke game was bad , last night was beyond parody. The first half showed just how much the players cared , either for the Club but hopefully the Manager and if the Manager then how much longer can he survive

Yeah, they are awful. They may win every now and again but they had nothing about them, they were just physical and organised. We should be blowing teams like that away.

There are definitely deeper issues. The manager is an easy problem to solve. If he’s continually underperforming, then those above him become accountable.

"Martin must be as frustrated as everyone else."

So none of it is his fault then ?

"Deeper issues"

It all starts with Martin he puts the team out on the pitch, there's very little game plan when games go away from us, there's very little sense at substitution time and he's constantly playing players out of position.

Apart from that everything is as sweet as a nut.

Wow I had to keep re-reading that post to believe what was written.
For a team to actually be awful and look good against is simple management - send your players out onto the pitch with a ready-made template of how to play and with or without the ball you will be in control of the game.
"but he’s man enough to take it on the chin." To me he looks like a schoolboy who has wandered into the grown-up's world. Completely lost and bewildered. Doing everything but accept his role in this 18-month escalation into a relegation battle.

No 6 hour bus trip this week so no reason to be tired.

No recent game so plenty of rest in the legs. No excuse for lack of energy.

The team is not particularly young with no teenagers at all in the 18 man squad. Lots experience on the bench with Ntcham Fulton Wash has a few seasons. Patterson not picked.

The problem with the team according to Martin is in the players head. That is exclusively the remit of Martin. It is his job to motivate.

He says the players a were anxious. About What? They were 12th not adrift at the bottom. Then he player the joker. "The players were anxious about the transfer window." They would have been more anxious about being replaced, surely? and actually drew a breath of relief.

Martin has done me.

I am a ST holder & have watched 2 maybe 3 games live since the World Cup, normally never miss a game, not renewing after being a ST holder for 30 odd years.

I take my hat off to those making the trip to Luton on the weekend.

I also believe we are not out of the relegation mix just yet, I fully expect us not gain a point until we play Bristol City & the Basseys, I cant even bring myself to go there as I think they have a good chance of turning us over if Martin is still manager.

People need to start realising relegation is a real possibility.

I really can't see where the next win is coming from, Luton Saturday then Brough then Millwall and then its BC all 4 clubs are better organised than us and 3 are definitely better if not the 4, as for the Bassey's I'd say that the same applies organisation wise, 5 games and all I can see us getting is 2pts max, be really surprised to us getting more, especially after the last two games.

Fans were poor last night too. Outsang at times by less than 100 Rotherham fans. Should never happen at home, no matter how poorly we are playing.

Hobo.
They are terrified and puzzled in equal numbers.
Nobody should dismiss possible relegation. Let’s nail that right now .
We should also quit any talk of play offs as it’s not funny anymore .
This is a downbound train heading for the buffers.
