Hull City looked pretty certain to get the Stevenage born player, but the Swans have interrupted the process now Joel Piroe has left the club. 0 No Davis, no … Click above.

Could be the lot then, because Hull wouldn’t go near his wage demands. Maybe his representatives inflated his salary so much it put Hull off ? Is Swansea that better an alternative ?

Obviously biased, but as a place to live, yes. If it is the wage demands, then I would rather go somewhere else than have one player eat up the budget. A good Attacking mid is more important at the moment in my opinion.

I agree in the location, but for a lot of folk it’s undiscovered territory. Swansea is a jewel for me.

A lot of folk are ignorant East Yorkshire is a lovely part of the world and beautiful, authentic market towns like Beverley are near Hull. It’s a case of young footballers often seeing no further than bright lights and bling. Used to go to the Humber Bridge on Advanced Driving courses Keith. Awesome underneath it.

Loved first 26 years of my life there and it was certainly true then. I thought it the centre of my universe . And yes ,I agree it never leaves you, rightly or wrongly. Back on topic, I can guarantee folk from Kingston Upon Hull and the East Riding feel the same

Tongue on cheek of course . Nobody but a complete tool would deliberately set out to leave a home that raised a family in one area and go in another one against the wishes of the souse. A recipe for disaster My first wife moved to Swansea moved to be with me and she lived in St Albans Rd ,Brynmill. Nice enough area to me. She detested it . We got wed for all the wrong reasons but lived once married in Myrtle Terr ,Mumbles . Nice? ‘Twas a nightmare You live where you ARE happy not where you were . I’m always available for advice Just DM . Doris

It’s rumoured to be 2 million a year, extortionate. If true. He won’t get that anywhere in the championship. However, a four year deal at 25 k a week would make sense, that is if his advisors do their job. However, I’m certain we wouldn’t even stretch that far.

We came home from Menorca today and I said to she who must be obeyed that I'd move to Spain in a heart beat if our circumstances were different and she said you'll be on your own then, I said I ain't got a problem with that

There will be better options out there, younger players with a better scoring record that we can get on a decent weekly wage. Personally I think we should be pushing the boat for Van Hooijdonk, would show intent and back up the boards wish to have given Piroe a new contract. Their pro active approach has been ripped up by this Piroe sale(I get why they done it) but now they have to show some ambition and intent.

Agree. Would prefer to see us go for emerging talent as opposed to Premier league stars on Premier League type wages ( all be it in this case on the lower end of the scale) [Post edited 25 Aug 2023 20:27]

Of they were happy for Piroe to stay and sign a contract then it suggests that the 10M plus wasn't a necessity and backed with their words that they didn't need to sell. I have no doubt that Van hooijdonk wage would be less than Davis's but we would certainly be looking at a higher transfer fee. The proof as they say is in the pudding, talk is cheap........time to back their words up.

He had raw potential and Cooper did not see it preferring Lowe. These guy are real hard to find. Lawrence Shankland Ginnelly's mate is n £27k a week allegedly.
