If I was of that inclination it is not unreasonable to buy some of their branded 'merch' even for family members.

Now games are zoomed club will want their own right to zoom matches to the potential 7 billion fans onn planet earth. There is only one team called the 'Swans' playing top level football on planet earth. To an extent I think we have, not enough of course, but a mate of mine works in Pentyrch, a sports teacher, last year he couldn't help mentioning that half his kids turn up for games and football practice with swans tops on. May be thats just success though. |  |

They don’t support those teams, they follow their results from afar. I have a bit more time for those who get on buses in South Wales and actually go to Anfield or OT on a regular basis. Only a bit though, if they’re from South Wales I still don’t get it.

Why would someone support a team from another country that they have no links to?

It’s only relatively recently we’ve had decent sides though. When I was a kid I think I was the only swans fan in my entire school. You even had kids turning up in Blackburn kits in the mid nineties. Nowadays you see kids in swans shirts everywhere which is heartening. |  |
