Hourihane to leave Villa, would you have him back ? 01:46 - Jul 17 with 1801 viewsKeithHaynes

It seems almost certain he is on his way out of Villa Park, but can he offer the swans something else for the coming season ?

Maybe if he were our player things would be different but on the evidence of last season, no.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

his mindset is key. definitely a good player who can win matches but if he isn't matching our players effort, is it like playing with one less. I think he is a good player to have but what else can you have for the money?

On a wage akin to the rest of the squad or an average championship player, yes.

That's not going to happen so no.

Purely based on last seasons efforts for us then a resounding no. To me that was an attitude not footballing problem and if it was a case of him throwing his dummy out then what's to say that wouldn't continue , perhaps he thought he was to good for us ?

His stay with us aw him being found out a a coward and a disgrace to his profession.

Grimes is not exactly a favourite of mine but he sh@t all over Oirland's international every time.Matty covered up in every way for this greatest stain on our shirt.

I wouldn't want him cross the Swansea border.

Shamrock Rovers is ideal for him

To even consider having him back is insane, cant really improve on your post other than we wont realise how good Grimes is until we have to replace him.

Never should be allowed anywhere near a Swansea shirt again.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

I used to think Ayew was overated and still do. I think Grimes gets his foot in can pick a pass and has a good engine. I think we would have seen a different player if MGW had stayed fit as he always found space i really rated him. But thats what makes football a great game people see it in different ways.

I hope we dont waste money on someone like Woodman although our GK coach is a better judge than myself.

Im with that
Ayew was just so but our only real talisman.
If Woody comes back then clearly our club management is nuts.

Woody cost us innumerable games, make no mistake and the odd great save didnt cover for that.

All in all,a shocker of a keeper in the Championship

For some reason I'd been inadvertently logged out so could read the poster I have on ignore, just reinforced why he's on ignore.
As for Hourihane, no definitely not, wages could be spent far more wisely, he showed us what he had and we definitely need more.

.

The top clubs will of course be looking to utilise his undoubted talent. The way in which he propelled Grimes' confidence and technical prowess was priceless.

A model pro, first in at training, last to leave, a massive influence on the younger players.

Could have a huge influence on our young, developing squad. With the right economically viable package, a no-brainer.

This is why a loan for a young player to a club like ours is priceless, and when Hourihane comes in he displays complete professionalism and dedication which in turn rubs off on everyone else, especially kids. That aside, his loan went sour, but ninety minutes is generally all we see, there’s much more to it than that for sure.
