Twitter seems 50/50 as do the posters on here.

I still see him doing very well next season

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Nah, might be 50/50 on SM but owners fully bought into his vision right now . . . . . . . that might change if we were sucked into the bottom 3 mind. . . . . . . but for the Jan window he is safe as.

I'm happy to see the "He needs at least 3 transfer windows" comments are becoming ever rarer.

Seeing Steve Cooper take over one of the worst teams in the league and turn them around wItHoUt a PrE-sEaSoN undoubtedly helped.

I feel he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. He can choose to maintain his preferred approach to matches and see us continue to hover just above the relegation fight, or he can dramatically switch to a new approach he has not implemented before in his career and risk floundering in that direction if that also proves unsuccesful.

Either way, this is a mess of his own creation. He chose to spend half a season trying to play in a manner which was not possible to do effectively with the personnel he had available.

He still gets plenty more time from me but he doesn't help himself sometimes.

It's all very well being confident and believing in what you are doing but it does sometimes feel like it crosses the line into arrogance and pig-headedness. The best managers are invariably those with a philosophy BUT prepared to tweak it to suit different challenges. I hope Russ is softening his 'No Plan B' approach and believe we have seen evidence of a learning curve on this front- our success against WBA at home for example.

Like Cooper he has also frozen out players that many would like to see play, and whilst this if fine when you are getting results, patience runs pretty thin when results turn. Personally my biggest gripe is his complete refusal to play Fulton, for example.

Overall 7/10 for me at the moment. Putting together a decent string of results in the New Year will see a lot of fans forget this blip, as they should. Potter had some horrendous runs of form in that season with us, but still left held in very high regard.

Lose our next two games mind and (rightly or wrongly) patience will be running out fast.

Nowhere near 7/10 for me, far to generous 4 to 4.1/2 at a push.

I wonder if the influence of the recently appointed 'old hand' Mr Allen has helped in this respect. Martin's fate is in the hand of Mr Allen and Mr Allen wants to avoid "making difficult decisions" unnecessarily.

Playing innovative football with ageing veterans like Hamer Bennett Naugton and Smith makes n no sense. It is wasted "development time".

Recent talk of "tactical changes" may have arisen out of such deliberations.

Not so long ago ,he had 99% "support" in all he said.
Not long ago,any questioning of him was dealt with by vicious abuse.

This guy is really not the guy to take us back to where we were.

"Personally my biggest gripe is his complete refusal to play Fulton"

Plus not playing Garrick & Whittacker.

There is the opposite for me as well.
The continual playing of Grimes, no matter how he plays.
Also Mr Cullen, who I was a fan of in the U23s.

But just as annoying is the "playing players out of position" for me.

5 out of 10.

I have every confidence in Russell Martin.
We all knew this would be a season of transition.
Defensive and goalkeeping errors have cost us dearly as of late. Cut these out and we can press on.
Patience required.

We were doing fine , 5 wins out of 6 or 7 then all of a sudden we disrupt a water tight defence.
Bidwell at LWB and Manning just inside looked very good indeed. Manning can’t play LWB and Rhys Williams certainly can’t play LCD. We lost Naughton to injury and that was game over. Laird looks a shadow of the player he was and the balance in midfield hasn’t been right.

Against Forest we played three defensive midfielders who suddenly lost the ability to defend , the floodgates opened on a pace less and vulnerable defence and we rightfully got smashed.

I don’t care if Bidwell is to be sold, you still have to play your best players. The last three results have knocked all belied out of the side and the manager needs to take responsibility for it.

I don’t want him to go - that’s ridiculously premature- but he has to turn this round, and pronto.

Each time I go to Bedd - au........................

He will have all of calendar 2022 and the two transfer windows.
His position will only be questioned if we start flirting with relegation.

It always amazes me when people are willing to give a manager a 12 month or longer transition time.
Does it really take 12 months to teach a professional player to pass to someone in their own coloured shirt?
We used to play 'Hoik it and hope' now we are playing 'Pass it until they're bored'.
We are paying these guys tens of thousands a week, surely they can work out the change pretty quickly

Well no,PA
adly, our fans base ,overwhelmingly decent and supportive are being taken for a ride here and realise ,deep down, the club has screwed up by his being appointed.
They say they "support" him and have "100 %) but that s not entirely true.

What they mean is that are crapping themselves as to the damage Martin could do and it could be considerable. Make a stciky of this if you like and then come back to this senile weird moron .

Meanwhile the very smart Middlesboro ownership show how it's done by appointing a manager who knows what to do and one that could get them back to the highest level. I read on here Wilder wasnt good enough for us. Think on that.

I tend to agree. Not so sure about Garrick but it'd still need seeing him play here to really decide. I thought Grimes had turned a corner but it 'turned' into him getting a new contract and then reverting to type.

Cullen I just don't get. Whatever happens in training surely a player needs to show it in the first team too. Cullen hasn't yet still got chances. Whittaker got the briefest of chances but was then dropped again.

Players out of position, I used to moan when cooper did it and I still do. Martin has to learn.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?
