OK, following on from the Warburton thread:

Willock: best winger since - who?

(I'm not having either Chair or Taraabt as wingers.)

Willock's not really a winger, though, is he?

Hmmm. Know what you mean. But he crosses the ball like one, no?

He's on another planet this kid. And we were worried about who was going to replace BOS! This kid is streets ahead of him.

Never knowingly right.

Closest player I can think of is Tricky Trev?

I actually think he is the closest we've had to Tarrabt.

Different player, but lots of similarites. Can drift wide and cross / create assists, can score, always looking for the ball, links up with Chair with way Tarrabt would with Faurlin.

Clear differences also and Tarrabt's 18 goals and assists, he was on another planet, but Willock is different and more of a team player.

Either way love having him with us, but him and Chair together are so good.

People I know are beginning to believe that I was right in the summer when I told them he was better than his brother.

NO Newcastle, we won't do an exchange!

Yes in the first half in one attack they were both down the right wing. Next attack they were both down the left. I can't remember seeing anything like it.

Warburton gave an interesting response to a question about Willock in the Sky post match interview. He basically said Willock needs to believe in how good he really is. Warburton obviously rates him very highly indeed.

Sinton. Like Andy Sinton he is good with both feet, can run at people and provides good accurate crosses and knows where the back of the net is. He is also better than his £25million brother. Chair and Willock really know each other’s game. Can’t think of another pair of players who are almost telepathic than Stan and Gerry.

I know this is a willock thread, but one of chair’s great abilities is he forms these right partnerships with other talented players. He did it with Eze too of course.

Warburton's coaching is second to none. Not many players he's coached at QPR haven't improved.

If I were Osayi-Samuel now I'd be punching my agents face.

Never occurred to me that Willock is a winger, more a roaming right-sided attacking midfielder. Tremendous player who'll be in the PL sooner rather than later.

It’s the ‘sooner’ bit that worries me. I’d be amazed if we don’t get an offer for Willock in January.

Always a sellers market in January and it will take some money to shift him. Warburton has already mentioned Chair and £25million in the same sentence.

Its the strangest things. Those two would be excellent in any Premiership side and you know that they would both hold their own. If they were playing on the continent they would be the subject of bids upwards of 20M per player. But they are at QPR so the bids will somehow be lower when they come in. My suspicion is that it will be a European club coming in for Chair and possibly Willock, both would fit well in Spain, Italy or Germany.

Never knowingly understood

That's the thing though, I would have agreed two years ago. But now, with the way we dealt with the Eze situation... It just feels like that's a sign that we aren't there to be taken advantage of anymore. Can't remember the last time I felt like we'd actually get market rate for one of our players if they did go. You want our best players now? Cough up.

Sinton only really played on the left wing and cut inside as he was that mythical both footed player.

Adel was a floating AM, who often played on the left as he liked to cut inside to shoot, pass, cross (outside of right foot) and get penalties.

zzzzzzzzzz

Dozzell's recent improvement seems to have come with his syncing with Chair and Willock as well. V Huddersfield there were some fantastic passing and movement between the 3 of them.

Don't think you can pin Willock down to a particular role. He drifts all over the front as does Chair. Sometimes together, sometimes alone. It's what makes them so hard to mark.
