| Summer transfer rumours 2026 on 15:44 - Mar 24 by Tonytone | This article popped up on my facebook https://footballleagueworld.co Its a bit wider than just getting a new goalie. I really hope we don't sell Madsen or Chair - and what if th club is offered decent money for Burrell or Kone? |
I wouldn't take much notice of that clickbait site. It just makes up stories to get as many visits as possible.

For me, i think next season is the season we go all out to get into the play offs and especially with eighth being a qualifying spot. We may see one or two older players and injury prone players attempted to get off our books but i think some of the talents coming through this season, we should be looking at keeping key players such as Kone, Burrell and Madsen as i feel this will be our best chance at a higher position than many recent seasons. If we have a decent season but dont go up then that is the time to sell hopefully more improved young players, which could then be at their highest valuations so we can keep the rollercoaster rolling on and on. The trouble with that approach, as hinted at by Lee Hoos, if you take the risk and it fails, the club is hamstrung, financially, for the next couple of years. Given the average age of the 1st team squad, I do think we have the basis of a squad that can compete for the top half. Any recruitment has to be close to perfection. There's bound to be departures of those who cannot adapt to that level. However, at this stage, I foresee more goings than comings.

Every player is available to be sold so best not get attached to any of them. I'll be gutted if Madsen goes though. The sort of player I pay my money to watch.

Madsen was easily our most improved player this season. In fact it is rare to see such a turnaround in a player from one season to the next.Whether his injury has scuppered a summer transfer depends on when he gets back playing, but I don’t expect him to play again this season. Varane for me has gone the opposite way. Solid last season, but regressed significantly this, which makes the loan out of Field even more baffling. If that 5m is still on the table for Varane I would grab it with both hands. Green shoots with Vale, show steady signs of improvement recently, hopefully that will continue. He has being pushed front and centre of the Irish camp since they arrived in Prague, so looks like he may make his debut, which hopefully will push up his value. Apart from that difficult to see where any significant sales will come from
| Summer transfer rumours 2026 on 09:52 - Mar 25 with 5723 views | Lblock | IF we are having to let Field go to N'arich to help them finish above us due to financial constraints then ANY bid for ANY player will be considered. I don't really see why any club would pay money for any of our players looking at performances across a whole season but football is the market place of madness. Burrell and Kone would be most likely to attract suitors and you could see any bid a pound over what we paid being accepted. The Virus would then spin it as great business, helped a player progress balh, blah, blah. I'll support the club forevermore but being an avid follower of a project/process that's aim is to conveyorbelt young players and finish 16th every season isn't making me want to get a season ticket again. | |

| Summer transfer rumours 2026 on 14:19 - Mar 26 with 4380 views | derbyhoop | Who's going? Nardi Hamer Cook, unless he's prepared to take a huge cut in rumoured wages. Also, is he prepared to settle for very limited game time? Hevertton Dixon-Bonner Field - almost certainly Celar - if we can find a buyer Lloyd - not getting more than 10 minutes in a L1 loan spell Given the number of links to various names, there appears to be a search for another keeper | |

RDN's loan finishes and there'll be the usual slew of youngers too.

Not sure if Field is almost certainly? Looks like Norwich got one of their midfielders back from injury, so Field was on the bench for their last game.

True re DS but I wasn't counting them. As to Field. Why loan out a 27yo with 179 apps for us, if he can get in the team? Maybe not Norwich but I doubt we'll keep him.

There was a report some while ago that we'd put a £1m bid in for him. I doubt this is true given CB is not an area we require another young player.

| Summer transfer rumours 2026 on 10:15 - Apr 2 with 2659 views | terryb | One of our group has sent a message today saying that there are rumours that we are signing Dylan Tait from Falkirk. He is apparently out of contract at the end of the season & is a 25 year old central midfielder. Do any of our Scottish correspondents (or anyone else) know anything about this & can update us about his ability etc? | | | |
