I think another top-half finish would be my expectation, but I hope we can carry over our form from the second half of last season and make a decent attempt to break into the top 6. I don't necessarily expect us to be competing for promotion, or even make the playoffs at the end of the year, but I'd like to think that we can be competitive at the top end of the table. | | | |

If we do sign Johansen, it would be quite logical to predict a top six finish given our 2021 form. However, logic is but a small element of the beautiful game we love. Injuries, suspensions and dips in form will play a significant part. I'm not sure the squad has quite enough quality to handle several key players being out.
That's said, I also hope for 6th but don't think we'll make the big up. |  | | |

10th or 11th we just had a season with only 2 real injuries that rarely happens in 2 consecutive seasons then throw in the likelihood of being without our first choice keeper and one of our most creative players for a month in January will probably hinder us just enough to not quite make the Playoffs | | | |

Don't worry, being in the top six all season will prove no barrier to my prediction coming true. No barrier at all.
There were posts on here December/January in the Warnock season (unbeaten in the first 19 matches, three losses over Christmas) saying that actually the unbeaten run had hindered us because we were protecting draws rather than going for wins, that actually it had covered a lot of problems with the team that Watford and Leeds had now exposed, that if we didn't make wholesale additions in January we'd be lucky to make the top six and may drop out of the top ten altogether, etc etc. | | | |

12th. Which would still be a decent achievement given the budget we are operating on vs other teams in th e division.
I just think end of last season we were riding the wave a little but and aren't quite as good as that suggested. Having said that I also think our performances in the first half of the season were a lot better than the results indicated so somewhere in the middle seems about right |  | | |
