I care.

Our club has a long history of having Welsh international and locally sourced players in our starting line ups.
It's a shame that this is no longer the case.

And if/when the Academy starts producing players good enough to prevent us having to buy them in it may do so again. Until then our players birth locations don't matter. Not one bit.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Didn't prove himself in the Premier League last year? 7 goals in 27 starts for a winger in a struggling side.

That is a better goal ratio than any of our wingers have managed in our PL history isn't it?

I thought he was a striker for Aston Villa when they were in the Premier League?

We won't win this one it's pretty clear that Villa value Ayew at about 9 million.
We value Taylor at 4 hence the 5 million fee.
We will have to pay Wrexham about 400 grand which is only fair.

Is this a serious post? We 100% won't pay Wrexham a penny and rightfully so.

Isn't there a 10% sell on fee....?

Yes, think so. No doubt involving Ayew will be Huw's attempt to get out of it like we did with the Vorm/Ben/Siggy deal.

True, he was, but not a lone striker. Agbonlahor and Gestede split time opposite him.

More damning about his 15-16 season is that he had 0 assists.

So he scored 7 in 36 games last season when playing striker and has 3 goals in 22 matches in the second tier when playing on the wing this season.

If we have signed him with the intention to play him on the wing then it is very underwhelming. If he is the new 2nd choice striker then it is average but not great.

Another expensive signing which does not improve the starting eleven. We do not seem to learn form our mistakes. This is why the squad gets weaker every transfer window.

10% of what? We're not going to receive any cash.

I would fully expect the contracts to be drawn up so Taylor is valued at £0 and just like with the Vorm deal, that'll be perfectly legal.

Pretty hard to get an assist in the shower of shite that was Aston Villa last season

6 actually. But that was over 25% of their league total, and he got a little better after a slow start (1st goal wasn't until late October against...you guessed it...the Swans).

Great deal ,would have signed him close season if we could have ,personally think he's better than his brother read somewhere that their father did also and he should know a good player !
Taylor has had his day here been a good servent to the club but times up ! Also remember he's got a bit of a mouth and attitude by all accounts ,so welcome Jordan and ignore the regular numptys lol!!

So he's going to be better than Bony then?

Except here, where he was brilliant. If Ayew does better for us, he'll be one of the all-time bargains.

Taylor must be on for a hefty wedge if he's stepping down i guess?

Whats he earning here , anyone know ?

Signing on bonus at Villa and possibly a pay rise ,in a division where he should hold his own comfortably, with possible glory of a premier league return.
Good move for all concerned. Been a great signing but absolutely the right time for him to move on, his spat with FG was the tipping point for many, however, good luck to him.

The Difference is of course that we now have 'Super' coaches who will be able to transform him from an average Championship player into a potential 2017 ballon d'or candidate. You know, the ones many on here believe have finally sorted out our CB partnership, who are actually conceding at a higher rate than before they arrived. But hey, it's all good!
