It seemed to me that they got about 6 dodgy decisions in a row at one stage.
Thrice he gave free-kicks against Liverpool in midfield when the Scouse player was clearly first to the ball, he even booked Van Dijk for having the temerity to get to the ball first.
Stoke got away with 2 handballs in the box, the one from the cross was an obvious penalty.
...and the holding and hauling down off the ball was routine from Stoke and a joke that it went unpunished.
What is worrying is that we will face the same when we play them and will possibly need a result.
The standard of refereeing in the Premier League is atrocious.
Inconsistent and far too lenient to teams who break the rules routinely.
Add in the fact that we regularly have refs who clearly have it in for us and it doesn't look good at all. | |
