Though I still love Swanselona.

I seem to have had some squabble with bad of late but Im right with him here. We need to get rid of Cooper and the owners. One of the two would do for me. And yeah,Im dense

Given our signings to date be surprised if it is a striker even though I tongue in cheel suggested Brewster earlier in the thread, hopefully a creative spark for midfield or proper 10/false 9

As a spectacle it was a shocker, end of conversation. Depends what you want from your football. I want someone who isn't afraid to try and win games. Someone who understands you sometimes have to get shots on goal to win games.Cooper was like a rabbit stuck in the headlights everytime the opposite manager made a change. You can laud him if you like, but I have my opinion. Never felt the need to criticise a manager before. [Post edited 15 Jul 2021 15:51]

Cooper won only 1 less game last year than our club record in that division, being afraid to win we certainly were not. I understand you may prefer a different style of football, I can accept that opinion, but that’s all the complaint can ever be. Anyone who says it was an unsuccessful campaign is just simply wrong. It was one of our best ever Championship seasons.

The point is, it could have been a lot more, if he'd shown some ambition and offensive tactical nous.

Which achieved exactly what ? for me memories of being mind numbingly bored, no excitement just the same dreary performances with very few exceptions. If you base our entertainment based on our league position then that's your choice it isn't mine and I suspect quite a few others

Monk had the best season in the PM but destroyed everything most fans enjoyed. If the only reason to follow a team is to see how close they came to promotion (in reality the points may have been close but the team wasn’t) then we should stay at home look at the league table.

Like the Brsitol City game at home where we lost despite creating I dont kn ow how many chances but unable to finish in the first half....despite the "infamous" tactical change by Pearson we still went 1 nil up before we gifted them a goal ..we were still attacking seconfd half had opportunity to go 2 up before they scored again then as we were attacking we let them get another silly goal...and again despite creating opportunities we couldnt score. As I say we all have our own opinions and we will never all agree..if you go back and watch the games again there are lots of examples where the team has attacked....HE is so often compared to Monk...whilst Monk "got lucky" that one season we finished 8th he didnt even survive a second season in charge .Cooper on the other hand has finished in the play offs twice and in fact has improved our league position from the previous season...you dont get that lucky! So he must have some tactical nous....yes it may not as always been as entertaining as the MArtinez days or Laudrup but to the owners its league position that counts not entertainment....I have said it before how people are measured dictates their behaviour....if the owners had Targeted Cooper with top six finishes as a manager he would use his resources and to achieve that goal. Think back during the season we were bemoaning the fact that we were not socring yet creating the chances Lowe in particular....then Cooper got balmed for tiring the players...There will always be disagreement over this ...And there are and have been enough threads on this BUT this thread is all about a significant loan signing not our opinions on Cooper. Again we may be surprised this season and see entertaining football....as well as getting results

That is a reality for certain posters on here, attached from the reality but work off the league table. We may aswell all go and support Man City if that's the case.

It truly defies belief how a small minority of entitled supporters have the gall to shout so loudly. Because they weren't entertained. Embarrassing. Plastics for sure. We massively overachieved with our mid-ranked, mid-budget squad and played some canny, clever stuff with our limited quality squad. If we had a proper AM and CF we would have been promoted. The funniest thing is reading how some think our manager coulda shoulda got us promoted. This implies they think he did well enough throughout the season to get us within touching distance. And was good enough to deliver. Make your minds up. Or is it a 'dense' thing. We are rebuilding. The sensible majority at The Lib will of course continue to support our young wider team. The plastics on the forums will of course always bleat, incoherently. .

I think supporters prefer to be entertained rather than bored shirtless. You seem to label anyone that disagrees with you as “Plastic” and claim to speak on behalf of “the sensible majority”. How do you define a plastic and what surveys have you undertaken to establish that “the sensible majority” agrees with you? Just asking.

If we had a proper AM and CF we would have been promoted. And if we did not have the highest paid player in the championship we would have been mid table at best.

We could have been promoted without either had we possessed a manager with courage. Sadly we don't. Instead he sent the team out to defend like a coward and depended upon the highest paid player in the division to bail him out on a regular basis.

| Swansea City poised to complete significant loan signing on 21:44 - Jul 14 by jack247 | Hamer is a third choice keeper. Every team has them and they are very rarely good enough for the first team, they are for emergencies. I couldn’t name any PL teams third choice. Cheap and understand they are unlikely to play. Benda may well be good enough now and if he is, he’ll play. We can’t just assume he is because he’s been here a long time though. |
In answer to you and jasper, I wasn't writing him off, I was asking when will he get his chance? He's been out on loan and done well but he's not had a chance here. How do we know for sure if he is good enough without playing him? What are our options, another loan keeper? Because we certainly won't be spending millions signing an anywhere decent keeper. Benda himself should be pushing for a chance and if he's not why not? People wont believe in you if you can't believe in yourself.

... and it quickly showed as we dropped like a stone down the league as Laudrups signings fell away. With regards to Cooper we bettered Potters 10th place finish because of Coopers signings, then bettered it again the year after. Every year under Cooper has seen clear and undeniable progression. Anyone who denies that shouldn’t even look at the table, football clearly isn’t for them.

Followed the Swans since 1976, so no, not a plastic, unless plastic means I feel the right to be entertained and expect the highly paid manager of my football team to be able to make simple tactical adjustments as the game progresses. I also certainly wouldn't have a Man Utd player as my avatar, that probably makes you a Manure plastic by the sounds of it. Sensible majority lol, if fans had been allowed in the ground last season, you'd have seen how the majority really felt. If we don't start well, things will go bad very quickly now fans are back in the ground. Hopefully he will get a couple of decent signings and be a bit braver and earn the right to be backed by the crowd.

The majority without doubt would have been happy with a 4th place finish and record equalling points tally. Absolutely no question about it at all. Most people want to see Swansea do well, full stop.
