That means a lot of Blackburn folk follow their local side, and clearly some of them twice. There is no other explanation. Holland’s pies is the towns biggest exporter, in a hundred years back, or less, they used to export cotton ( not Holland’s pies ) to the world, then one eyed Joe got annoyed and it all went south. Not literally, nothing goes south from Blackburn as we have seen with their away supports over the years at Swansea. It shouldn’t ever be said that Blackburn people are thick, other than all of them mostly are really intelligent. They came second in the UK’s most intelligent town in 2017. This was an incredible achievement for them as they were the only town to enter. Thick or what ? Everyone born in Blackburn has no toenails. Blackburn Lives Matter Dark markets only. They aren’t booing the players, they are booing the gesture, understandably so. But it’s boring now, for many reasons.

Bennett has normally kicked the ball to the opposition keeper half a dozen times by now. The difference after just 15 minutes is already obvious.

Instead we spread the passing to the opposition around the defensive unit, they all contributed. That first 10 mins was among one of the most concerning I can remember. Much better since though.

Yes I agree it was very worrying. I commented on how different our approach was, not the success. This will take months to develop unfortunately. It's clear many are not comfortable being asked to look for a pass when under pressure. They've been drilled to kick it high and long for 24 months.

Bit of a myth there. I think from memory we only made around 30 long balls per game, I’d have to check. But that’s not in the least bit a high number. Around 8%. The issue was more the pace of our attacks last year, or indeed lack of.

| Matchday Thread : Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City 21/22 on 15:42 - Aug 7 with 1102 views | Dr_Parnassus | This passing is atrocious. You have to have the right technical players that can play this way, under pressure, to a man. That’s why it’s so difficult for the majority of teams to do successfully. I’m not convinced we have the personnel. The one positive for me so far is Benda. Nice to have a brave and commanding keeper. | |

I wonder whether the present lineup has the ability to play out from the back.

The youngster who played some of preseason looked a mile better than either Bennett or Latibeaudiere who are a dreadful partnership. Lack of pace, but more concerning lack of positional sense to make up for it. Been the same all preseason.
