That means a lot of Blackburn folk follow their local side, and clearly some of them twice. There is no other explanation. Holland’s pies is the towns biggest exporter, in a hundred years back, or less, they used to export cotton ( not Holland’s pies ) to the world, then one eyed Joe got annoyed and it all went south. Not literally, nothing goes south from Blackburn as we have seen with their away supports over the years at Swansea. It shouldn’t ever be said that Blackburn people are thick, other than all of them mostly are really intelligent. They came second in the UK’s most intelligent town in 2017. This was an incredible achievement for them as they were the only town to enter. Thick or what ? Everyone born in Blackburn has no toenails. Blackburn Lives Matter Dark markets only. | Matchday Thread : Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City 21/22 on 16:05 - Aug 7 by Catullus | We made most of our own problems there so far. We've given the ball away too cheaply, we look loose defensively but it got better and you can see what we're trying to do. People being so critical, our manager has had 4 days and he'll need time, patience and support. Hopefully when a few new faces have arrived things will start to click. On a positive note, we are trying to pass, Benda looks confident on the ball and we could have scored. Cullen maybe should have scored. The pace of our play is much better too. |
Benda just sh*t on his chips big style. Terrible

They've clearly been told to close Benda down. No out ball, way too much time on the ball.

I will give him three years. Genuinely. Even if we go down in that time. But pretending that this is somehow ‘different’ just because you didn’t like Cooper is a joke. It’s aimless, nervous, poor standard. It’s almost as though those of us that have said the problem lies in the squad rather than the manager weren’t talking absolute crap after all. Some of our players are absolutely dreadful for this level. It’s not their fault. But our recruitment needs looking at. As perhaps it will be now we have a director of football overseeing it.

Blackburn turned into us for a minute and insisted on passing to us. If we can sneak a draw out of this, I will take that all day long.

Certainly an odd one from their keeper, but nice clean strike hitting the target. That’s what we want. Should have been saved though I agree.

Williams, Rangel, Taylor then Davies - such a wonderful base together with Leon. Although to be fair, in the past three minutes Bennett and Lati have looked a little more composed.

Seems like they are a bit closer together. Better shape. First half seemed like Cabango and Lati were in midfield half the time.

100%. Then added to that base we had the players with pace and composure such as Dyer and Sinclair to supplement it. The ability to launch several types of attacks too, including long balls. Ashley Williams used to love to spread a long ball out to the wing. We haven’t replaced Dyer or Sinclair, all our wingers (Hernandez aside) have been speed merchants that don’t know how to use the ball. It’s all well and good having a philosophy or a style of play, quite another to have the players to implement it. Otherwise everyone would do it. We have to make a decision to recruit players who can play this way or expect that it will go wrong far more than it will go right, even when it’s “bedded in”.
