Perhaps voters should vote for the local councils they want. If your Council is efficient and well run then vote for them . If they are poorly run and offer bad service get rid of them.

No good complaining for the next four years if you make the wrong choice.

I vote conservative at local elections as all four local councillors are terrific and are doing their best to stop Labour ruining the Awirral green belt.

And so Westminster should. After all it’s English money.

So welsh and scottish taxpayers money is english money? If we were such a burden they had ditched us long ago.

Thank you, goodnight and bollocks

Is Cardiff Labour. I went through some posh parts of the Capital today, and they seem to be supporting Labour. Some very posh houses too.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Wales spends more than what it earns, so yes English money.

I’m still waiting for you to answer how an independent Wales would pay its share of U.K. national debt. That would leave Wales owing £100 billion.

Been out canvassing in Newport West and from what I'm hearing the Tories going to get battered at the polls.

There will be a lot of tory councillors losing seats and all thanks to Bungle in number 10

What sort if turnout are you expecting to inflict this battering. Surely less than 50% would prove nothing, just a majority of those voting, but nowhere near masses turning out to prove a point.

This is like trying to give a debt to a dutiful wife after their idiot husband has squandered all their money on beer, drugs and hookers.

You cant leave me, who would want you now…?
That shitehouse sort of bloke.

A new indy Wales would owe nothing because the people of wales made no debt incurring decisions.

We should have reparations though for stolen welsh coal and water, as well as deliberate damage to our welsh language and culture.

Indy wales would easily be rich enough.

They will get a battering from the 40% (+/- 5%) who bother to vote.

it's the same pattern as the Senedd elections so Labour will get about 15-20% of total available votes!

Can you imagine the rabid English nationalist Johnson being in any way generous to the Celtic nations ?. If you can, then give your head a good feckin wobble.

Am I voting for the councillor or the party?
My local councillor is a Tory but a decent man and has been good in the position.
The Liberal candidate, however, is a Swans fan!
The Labour candidate is doing a lot for Ukranians.

So it looks like the Liberal candidate for me

Bit of a tip.

When you edit a post it shows that you've done it and when. You end up looking even duller if you try to cover up mistakes that way.

Welsh coal was sold by the London government and the wealth shipped off to London.
This is why Welsh mining communities do not look like Dubai.

English based water companies buy/take welsh water for cost and then sell to other parts of England for a profit. Severn Trent i think.
Welsh water prices for welsh citizens are high when they should be low.

Also cheaper water in wales would attract water intensive industries and create jobs.
For cooling, brewing, all sorts.

Water will be increasingly valuable as the planet heats up.

The people of wales should benefit from welsh water. Its that simple.

Welsh water numbers to ponder ..

The commercial sale point was £0.002 per litre. (Welsh Water to Severn Trent say)

243.25bn x £0.002 = £486.5million pa

However using the market price for water instead, nothing exploitative, Wales would earn between £3-6bn pa based on a similar price to the current.

Thats money that could and should be used to help the welsh people with cheaper water and cost of living assistance.

Hang on now, the shut the assembly down lot, of which I am one, don't look foolish and I do vote by the way. How can a shut the assembly person vote for what they want if it isn't on the ballot?
What a 40-48% turnout shows is that most people in Wales don't think the Assembly/Senedd is worth voting for. The last Westminster elections had a 67% turnout in Wales, people care more about Westminster than the Senedd.

If the "shut the assembly" lot had someone to vote for maybe it would be different. People have lost faith with Welsh politics though. The big problem with democracy is, you'd don't have to have a minimum turnout for a result to stand, if only one person in every constituency voted then the result stands.

Welsh Labour are all for democracy, as long as we vote for what they want. As soon as the realise we don't want what they do, they stop being democratic.
