There was an abolish the assembly party that basically no one voted for

Yes and how many candidates did they have? I also seem to remember the candidates they did have were, well, barking! They pledged to stand in all constituencies but a month before the elections they lost a load of candidates, they just quit. Why was that?

In 2021 they got 3.7% of the vote. In all the polls (and yes, I'm generally not a believer in poll results) there was a lot more support for abolishing the Senedd than 3.7% of the vote. In June 2021 allegedly 22% of all of us supported scrapping devolution which is more people than voted for Labour. If that poll was anywhere near accurate and they all bothered to vote then Abolish would have won control. if only it were that simple.

There is only one way to know if Wales actually wants to keep or to scrap the Senedd but we won't get that referendum.

In the meantime we will have to keep on paying for MP's AND MS's and continuing the overpriced political system that robs much needed services of many millions.

If people feel that way inclined then set up a political party/ movement to do something about it.

It's all well and good people moaning about but they ain't prepared to put it into actions

Yeah, but as is well evidenced, most Welsh people have given up on Welsh politics. Even giving kids the vote didn't get the turnout up over 50%

People have lost interest so much a new political party that may actually represent their wishes would need massive funding to get the message across.

The Pro Indy stuff always gets plenty of coverage despite the polls always showing roughly the same support as abolish. There is a political agenda in Wales, no group supporting abolish is going to get fair coverage. The WoL is ridiculously biased. They have even removed factual posts of mine that are critical of the Senedd, yet when I post stronger views of Bojo, they are left to stand.

Maybe it is because the abolish lot have links to devious organisations.
I think you will find there are more Yes Cymru member than so called abolish the assembly members. Think someone should tell them that it is not an assembly as well. Show's how out of touch they are.

Thank you, goodnight and bollocks

Well the Abolish lot managed over 18000 constituency votes and over 41,000 regional votes. Yes Cymru had a peak of 18000 members in March 2021 but apparently over 10,000 members in the 12 months since.

https://www.thenational.wales/

Membership is one thing but not everything. Those numbers makes Abolish more popular then yes Cymru.

Even though I am pro Union and anti devolution, I wouldn't vote for the abolish lot for reasons previously stated, they just seem odd to me. For my wish to come true we need a sensible alternative.

I hope you all received your £150 from your local council funded by the UK taxpayers.
Mine arrived in my bank account last week.

If you have not received yours yet ask yourself why.

Is it because your local council is inefficient or perhaps your local council is holding onto your money until after the local elections.

Yes Cymru is a paid for organisation that does not have a political party to vote for, it'd be more accurate to compare abolish vs Plaid/Greens as they are pro indy parties. 18,149 to 243,193 Constituency votes (regional being much the same).
Even using that as a yard stick would be inaccurate as Labour have pro indy offshoots and most conservatives are anti devolution.

Aren't Germany funding Putin's war machine due to their reliance on Russia gas

Lefties are supporting mother Russia .Clearly

Meanwhile Ukraine has lost its ore eminence newswise but still Russian war machine and a callous president carry on.

Maybe Mother Russia is right and they are freeing Ukraine from Nazis so it s just sad the kids and women get in the way and forward themselves to be raped before being killed.

Red Army did this in 1945 en route to Berlin. They re good at it .

Just chucking some figures for it that may be ever so slightly more accurate, although who would know as half the country never bothers to vote.
Its probably hard work trying to avoid questions all day to be fair to them haha

Well done Swansea City Council. A well run Council that is bringing in huge investments in Swansea to create more jobs. They are business and tourism friendly and put to shame Drakeford and his Senedd up the road.

Please try reading it again.

A fair market price for water.
Reparations for the shameful treatment of welsh culture and language.

The welsh people never voted to join any uk union.
The uk debt is simply not a welsh debt.

There is previous on this, the treaty that was signed with Estonia on 2 February 1920 states: “Estonia will bear no responsibility for any of Russia’s debts or other obligations (…). All claims of the creditors of Russia for the share of the debt concerning Estonia should be addressed to Russia only.” Similar dispositions appeared in the treaties signed with Lithuania and Latvia. As well as asserting that peoples did not have to pay illegitimate debts that were contracted in their names though not in their interest, Soviet Russia also acknowledged the oppressive role played by Tsarist Russia towards minority nations within the Empire…’

Note … in their name, though not in their interest …. Ring any bells ?
