It is. I've been sitting in one since 7 this morning.

52 voters so far.

We went and voted at 5.30ish and it was dead here too.

Hardly anybody is interested, it seems anyway.

Is Poppy standing in that ward ?, I was impressed with her social media content when she was a Green in Neath, apparently she has gone to Plaid now, thinking about it i read a while ago about Greens only county councillor in Wales also going to Plaid.

Green to Plaid seems to be a natural progression.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Bethany Payne is our Green candidate, she's not an obvious choice for Plaid, being English.

I'm not sure there are obvious progressions in politics, specially modern day politics, swapping party's is more about personal gain than representing the people, in my opinion. About choosing the vehicle more likely to get you elected.

You’re going to have to explain why that would be in any way natural?

Poppy’s a lovely kid by the way. Very enthusiastic and too young to be cynical.

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

Pity for Greens as Poppy seemed (from afar) to be running the show in Neath and their star performer, Plaid is all inclusive, my English neighbours vote Plaid and I assume they are politically aware as they have gone on demos and things and they are retired professional people.

Yr Egin polling station in Carmarthen was busy today. Sadly not with voters but with people having lunch.

Plaid is an older more mature more successful more grown up party than the Greens.

They are both left of centre, no doubt what I've seen she must like what she sees with Plaid and their policies, i don't think there is anything cynical either as what's the chances of Plaid getting in in Neath ?, there again those two steelworkers/ex steelworkers did get in in Aberavon for Plaid.
A potential cynical move would be to go to the Red Tories (Labour) in Neath or Swansea etc from a bona fide left of centre party as traditionally Labour usually get in.Neath/Swansea.

From my experience today of dealing with just 77 voters in a 15 hour shift as a PO in a polling station shows we need a significant change in politics.

The ward is represented by 3 councillors. The candidates were 3 representatives from Labour and one each from the lib dems and tories. That's it. No Plaid, no Green. Do they not care or do they not even have enough suitable members to propose as candidates?

Pretty much everyone voting said they had received no information about who to vote for whatsoever. Not even a leaflet from any of the 3 Labour candidates.

Those 3 candidates will win. Nothing will change. Politicians have got it easy in Wales. People want independence but we don't even have enough good politicians to run the show as it is.

Three from labour sounds left wing not right wing. Perhaps Plaid and Greens think no point in standing if the area always votes labour.

Labour are right wing, Blair, Brown, Starmer etc, they abandoned socialism years ago after Foot.

It will be interesting to see the results in actual votes cast. Has the winning party actually increased their vote or just got a higher percentage with less votes. Parties will cherry pick the results to push their agenda today.

I notice a couple of new names as Tory candidates locally.
Shipped in it would seem.
I recognised the names and can see that they are both old Swans fans, who have each had a 5 year ban for violence at games.
They might get in, as farmers only ever vote Tory.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Pour local station was quite busy .
Wirral i an add place.
Conservatives ahve not lost any ground and in fact made 2 gains.
Sadly, they is no overall control.Labour 26,Conservatives 25 ,then the greens with 6.
It means a shambles basically.

It evidences the huge disparate nature of this peninsular. Very rich, very "poor".

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Interesting that the Liberal Democrats have currently gained more councillors off the Conservatives than Labour in England. I wonder if this will change and what conclusions can be drawn.

Our ward has always been Labour and we pay around £2,200 per year. Skewen is hardly a rich area but we pay more than Mumbles in the same banding.

It's very much jobs for the cronies in this ward too, there is a Mayor of Coedffranc! It's bizarre given the population of around 6000, specially when Bristol had a referendum and voted to get rid of their mayor.
From all the rumours I've heard it's easy to think Coedffranc is mired in corruption. I couldn't prove there is any but I've been told by long time residents the local council is a closed shop and they voted through a change from a community council which meant the local residents couldn't get rid of them. Labour democracy in action!

Very little really seems the voters are not convinced by Starmer outside London . The Liberals have picked up their midterm protest votes and seats. Twice as many as Labour and even the greens have picked up as many new councillors as Labour.

Not enough of a vote change to get Labour a majority in general election.

It is the Boris factor.
If the Tories are too dumb not to dump this preening clown then they deserve to be opposition .
Our local councillors are superb,Labour ones elsewhere are horrendous.
