| Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City : Matchday Thread 2022/23 UPDATED 00:12 - Feb 16 with 22276 views | NotLoyal | This is the game which will test the Swans the most over the coming eight days. It’s Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City in the Championship ! Kick off 3pm on Saturday 18th February 2022 Referee : THOMAS BRAMALL Lino’s : Graham Kane and Richard Wild Fourth Official : Robert Lewis Thomas Bramall has never officiated at a home game for the Swans. And this is his third time away. He was the referee when Preston beat Swansea 3-1 back in 2021. And he was also the official when Oxford United dumped Swansea out of the League cup earlier on in the season. Rumour has it he was actually born in a Lane hence his surname. Blackburn Rovers looking to expose Swansea City’s weaknesses 18th Feb 2023 11:03Swansea City go in search of their first win at Ewood Park since 1971 in a game that many don’t give the side much of a chance this afternoon in Lancashire. There is little to worry about regards Russell Martin’s team selection, but we can expect a change after the struggles of Wednesday evening despite a 2-1 win. 0 Blackburn Rovers: Aynsley Pears, Harry Pickering, Daniel Ayala, Dominic Hyam, Sam Gallagher, Tyrhys Dolan, Sorba Thomas, Hayden Carter, John Buckley, Ben Brereton Diaz, Lewis Travis (captain). Substitutes: Joe Hilton, Sammie Szmodics, Tyler Morton, Callum Brittain, Ash Phillips, Bradley Dack, Ryan Hedges. Swansea City: Andy Fisher; Nathan Wood, Harry Darling, Ben Cabango; Joel Latibeaudiere, Jay Fulton, Joe Allen, Matt Grimes (captain), Ryan Manning; Luke Cundle; Joel Piroe. Substitutes: Andreas Sondergaard, Olivier Ntcham, Morgan Whittaker, Liam Cullen, Liam Walsh, Matty Sorinola, Ollie Cooper. Chances spurned Nothing learned 18th Feb 2023 18:05Russell Martin’s frustrations continued after a promising start at Ewood Park this afternoon in front of over five hundred travelling Swans fans. Despite the domination in the first half and hitting the bar from a Ben Cabango header the game ended with the inevitable conclusion. 0

| Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City : Matchday Thread 2022/23 UPDATED on 16:41 - Feb 18 with 2159 views | BryanSwan | I'm always disappointed to see Martin play his abysmal 5 at the back system, not that his interpretation of 4 at the back was very successful either. Best chance a corner for us? Not created much else. Very poor. | |

I don't know who we'd put in charge but Martin has to go. At this rate the whole team will be useless at the end of the season. We should have enough to not be in any danger but Martin is ruining our players. We won't have to worry about losing any though, nobody will want any of them! People rate Grimes hhighly but nobody wanted him last season, Cullen, nobody even wanted him on loan in L2.

| Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City : Matchday Thread 2022/23 UPDATED on 16:58 - Feb 18 with 1741 views | union_jack | Oh dear! Anyone else feel that our attitude was one of let’s not get hurt, try a few things here and there, it really doesn’t matter. That’s what I saw in our play. No urgency, no desire just going through the motions as on the training pitch. Some of our on the ball play today was almost amateur-like. The ball bobbling under their feet, getting into tight spots Ithaca three defenders around them then crucially losing the ball Maybe on balance if play we didn’t deserve to lose but I’ll take it if it’s the final nail in Martin’s coffin because we are going to be looking over our shoulders very soon. | |

I don’t care who it is but even someone within the club could do a better job than Martin. Let Joey do it till the end of the season at least he’d show some passion. 3 wins in 20 games (2 of those against 10 men)? If Martin remains I wouldn’t be surprised to see us in league 1 next season with the bottom clubs starting to pick up points. Shambles

We've only won 3 in 18 mind. Whittaker on in the 90th, if he doesn't bother trying who would blame him? You can be completely useless but as long as you run around a lot you'll get picked.

He has a bit of pace so doesn’t fit the project.
