My personal opinion is this budget/financal event will be a disaster for most of us, unless we are rich we are screwed.

"Trickle down economics" i.e. the myth that if the very rich get even richer they will invest more in services and pay higher wages out of the goodness of their hearts, rather than putting all their money offshore or in property to leech rents from working people.
Like austerity and the "national credit card" it's all blatant lies designed to make the greedy sound reasonable and sensible, and demonise public spending over private profit.
