RADIO Talk Sport 2 LIVE commentary
It’s that ‘extra’ game on bilious Brentford that raises its ugly head. Fresh from the glare of the man child exploding and his tantrum over a penalty given away by his ridiculous decision to try and win a game he had no right to win. It’s Blackburn v Swansea.
Match Officials ROBERT JONES Ian Hussin and Adrian Holmes Fourth Official : Geoff Eltringham
Merseyside official Jones also took charge of the Swans twice last season, having the whistle for the win over Cardiff and the draw against West Brom at the Liberty Stadium. His only other previous Swansea game was the Carabao Cup clash with MK Dons in 2017, which the Swans won 4-1. Jones, who has refereed in the Championship since 2017, will be assisted by Ian Hussin and Adrian Holmes, while Geoff Eltringham is the fourth official. Robert Jones would like to make it known he has never played rugby. However, he has secretly stated he owes Swansea City a penalty or two and will definitely have that in the back of his mind.
The game has been rescheduled because Tony left the taps on for the last game and flooded the ground, strangely enough the once competent drainage system and under soil heating failed to work, allegedly because it wasn’t on, allegedly because the club couldn’t afford it, allegedly.
Tony’s textbook tactical tampering
As we can see swans tv are showing the game to season ticket holders who live in a light green market who hold season tickets between rows F and K. Personally I think this is scant reward for these people who have been in the glare of the yellow market since June 2020. I think it’s time there was a strongly worded letter sent from the red market to the club possibly moaning about something just for the sake of it. Legal action could happen. 😂 Not. Or even twice. Send the same letter twice or two different ones. In the days before markets there were markets but they were not called markets. It’s odd there is still a dark market, this sounds terrible and isn’t a place at would want to be without a torch. Long live the partially fluid, non gender, off purple, let’s have drugs market. It’s the place to be.
FORM GUIDE Blackburn have won one of their last six games, Swansea two out of their last six, oooops ! silly me, I meant four from their last six games. In their last six games Swansea lost at home to Middlesbrough 2-1, Oh damn, so sorry, I’m confused so easily these days, in their last game Swansea beat Middlesbrough 2-1, and Blackburn won away at Millwall 2-0.
The last time Blackburn beat Swansea in the league was in 2011, the score was 4-2:in the premier league. Back in October the swans beat Blackburn 2-0 at the Liberty. That premier league win for Blackburn in 2011 was the first time the sides had met since 1984. Since then games have ended either in a draw or a Swansea win.

Game ended 1-1, positively another point closer to promotion, negatively, read the thread.
Another Swans win would be great, no easy games in the Championship, I'm hoping Swans confidence will be high after our last two winning late late late shows.

Sadly, there's a lot of truth in that post
It could be but, it might also have little effect on us but have a massive effect on Boro. Refs might be a tad upset he labelled them all cheats and some unconcious bias may occur!

Or gifting teams a goal....or more
To be fair over the course of season that is something only now creeping in.
We always seem to sit back and invite teams on, we conceded alot of goals last year last minute, this year on the whole we have managed to hold out but always playing with fire and it would/should have been two points dropped.

Yet,hence my lack of interest in joining the Cooperites.
We have sat back for as long as I can remember with him.

You can't fault our results at all, how we are where we are I'll never know but long may it continue!
Tonight another huge one. Nerves been in since this morning.
This is very true, sadly unless we can up our game quite significantly, I can see us struggling to hold onto a play off position, let alone automatic promotion.
Our heavy match schedule, lack of depth and quality in our squad is starting to tell, although the effort and togetherness of the team can't be criticised.
A win tonight would be fantastic, but I'd settle for a draw if I'm being honest.
A draw would not be the worst result in the world, possibly a top two finishing team would expect to win a match against a side in 15th position in the league, even away from home, if we fall behind in the match I would sign for a draw even if it's in the first few minutes but otherwise I'm hoping we can win.

To miss out on the play offs would take a collapse on the scale of Devon Loch.
A point wouldn't be the end of the world.
You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game
Not all sure what to expect anymore quite frankly, after the events of the past few games. We've had good spells (Brizzle 1st half), awful spells (Boro 2nd half) and everything in-between. A penalty for the 4th game in a row would do quite nicely but I suspect after all the fuss kicked up over the last week one of ours could get cut in two in the opposition box and we wouldn't get anything.
Realistically, I'm probably expecting another average, workmanlike performance where we hopefully have enough quality to take a chance, and keep it tight at the back. Between tired legs and a lack of rotation (Cooper won't significantly rotate, will he?), I'd be very surprised if we go out there and pass them into submission.
