Goodbye you mad Scottish legend.
RIP.

Frank Burrows Obituary 24th Nov 2021 15:14
‘He has a bit of a mad look in his eyes’ That was the first thing I was told about Frank Burrows. The second thing I was told was ‘He is a great man manager, if you listen to him’ Frank was at Swansea City for four seasons, he took the club to Wembley, and a victory in the Autoglass Final, for that alone he stands with very few who have managed our club. In1991 he led the swans to a Welsh cup final win against Wrexham in Cardiff. 0

RIP Frankie

Terrible news

I remember Rog telling me once after a home defeat he locked them in the dressing room for two hours after the game. Plates, cups and Jon Coates all had it.
What a shame, only 77.

My first "proper" Swans manager barring the dying embers of Yorath's second spell, and still one of the best. What he could have achieved armed with a budget.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

RIP Frankie

Some of my best memories following the Swans was when Frankie was the gaffer.

Will be mourned by both Swans & Cardiff fans.

Did a great job. Bought low and sold high which really kept us going in the 1990s.

Top guy.

Top man Frankie.

Pushing for play offs from the 3rd division seemed like a dream at the time. Solid defence but we played football and those days will never leave me so thank you Frankie for those days.

Another massive part of my Swansea City journey gone.

Playing at a proper football ground standing on the North Bank in someone else's p1ss with my mates having a laugh watching 1990's football and just chuffed we actually won a game.

A million miles from where we are now.

Be careful what you wish for.

Travel well Frankie YJB

Me too, great for us on a shoestring. Passionate as his flat cap throwing proved
You could see his impact on the teams he worked for in the background for a number of years

RIP Frankie

Whenever the “(Insert managers name) Barmy Army” chant goes up, Frankie is the first name that pops into my head even now.

Enjoyed reading the tribute to FB, he was a top “Lower league” manager who, had he been given a decent opportunity would have done well at a higher level. Had an eye for a good player and did pretty well where ever he went. Thank you. RIP.

I heard the news on the radio and had that gutted pang.

Great man and loved him and his passion at the Vetch.

Thanks for the memories Frank, sleep well.

Sad news, was down crested when I heard it somorning, some workmates don't agree with my view that he was a Legend, but he was in my eyes.

77 is quite young these days, I feel.

RIP Frankie Burrows.

Anyone who introduces passing a football to your own team mates, and as a result wins cups is good enough for me.
