It will be interesting so see how we set up and if there was a possibility that he could have fitted. Undoubtedly he played his best football on the right of two behind the front man for Plymouth. I don't think we will play anything like that and if we did Piroe (currently) or Ntcham would get the nod first. It's all about opinions and this can change with squad movement. It will still be interesting to see how he does in the Championship. Personally I'm glad he's gone because when I've seen him play for us he's been rubbish.
Another player with talent, but whose poor attitude makes it easy for management to move on.
I hope he makes it at Plymouth, but only time will tell if he's at least a Championship player, or makes a career as a lower league player.
He won't be the first young player who often drift out of professional football because of a poor attitude to authority!!
Not sure how poor it was but he always gave the impression to team mates he wasn’t happy. Maybe needs a mirror at home, or better still to grow up a little bit.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Yes hard life being a footballer 10 grand a week or whatever he was on.
Needs to try working a normal job and trying to keep up with mortgage and gas/electric ungreatful self entitled brats some of them.
I love how people who don't know Whittaker and have never met him in their lives are experts on what kind of attitude he's supposed to have.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
Didn't seem like there was much wrong with his attitude under a manager who gave him plenty of game time in his best position instead of wasting him out wide in ten minute cameos.
It's almost as if the two things are connected.

Whatever the reason Cullen and Piroe both found the net reasonably well last season, that wouldn’t have helped his cause, they were very much in front of him. I’m wondering if Morgan will actually be replaced.

His sulky face and general stropping about was a good indicator.
Couple that with his couldn't be arsed attitude from January on I I am not in the right state of mind to travel for a game after he was recalled gave it away for me.
Good move (Eventually) for all parties. We had a guy who didn't appear to enjoy his time here. We get more than we paid for him despite hardly using him. He's gone to a club that seemed to get the best out of his talent and where he was happier. Also he knows the players better there than he does here.

We were well stocked in his position.
Perhaps he should of knuckled down and tried is best for the team. Not much to ask surely.

I thought he was handled very poorly. Ok,so he s another entitled ,spoilt jerk footballer, like many ,but the best coaches somehow get a tune out of him. He has skill and is quick. That he didn’t bust a gut didn’t help him ,for sure, but Plymouth got him to work and were willing to pay a not inconsiderable sum for him.
Rooney, Cooper, Martin and now Duff were happy to see him play some where else.
Goykeres never seemed happy either and e he was recently sold for £20m 2 years later. . Hopefully waton has inserted a sell on clause of at least 25% of the profit. In Goykeres s case that would have been £5m ,

Twice he was loaned out for game time, twice he came back and failed to impress. A new manager comes in and he is sold on. Rooney didn't rate him that's why he came to us. So how was he handled badly. Sometimes you have to look at the player.
