Is there really no Florist matchday thread??

Relaxed about today now we've got that monkey off our back with our first result in a billion years there last season. I think our devastating combination of attacking flair and kamikaze defending will totally unman them. 1-4 Rangers.

Poll: Who is your player of the season?

Good point away at a top six side.

Happy with that.

Good result. And nice for MW to prove Forest fans wrong about him not being able to adapt or grind out a result.

Well done to all. Great commentary Brian.

Don’t understand what happened there- that Florist bloke said they had no weaknesses but they have failed to beat QPR

Thanks Brian.

I'm very pleased with that result. Unbeaten in our last three games!

Warbs out-thunk Forest. He switched around our playing style and forced them out of their comfort zone. They did have more possession than us but none of it amounted to very much. Lots of corners. Lots of piddling around. But int he end how many times was Kelly seriously troubled.

Well done to Warbs for thinking through their playing style and making the changes to neutralize their best assets.

Hard earned point. Another clean sheet.

How did Kelly get on?

Kelly was very good.

Excellent point and some little credit must go to a small touch of flatulence.

Always better out than in, Ted...

Lucky there, but resolute overall by the sounds of things. Glad we can tighten up at the back.

Can we go out yet?

Sounds like Dom Ball held us together. On his way to My Lord status if he keeps this up.

Only a draw? More evidence this team has binned off the season imo. Phoning it in, need a kick up the Rs . etc etc etc ;)

Bare bones.

Yes. Well done all. Particularly the defence who've been lambasted time after time – by me as much as anyone – but they stood firm (if a bit shaky now and again) against a decent attacking side in difficult conditions. I do wonder what would have happened if that goal hadn't been called back, but it was so who cares!

True, two points dropped.

No Plan B my arse, thought that was a very effective and different performance from us.

Forest look like they don’t know what to do when teams stand off them a bit.

Thought Kelly was outstanding, his kicking was A1 in tricky conditions - my MOM

Had kids football so had to miss the 2nd half but sounds like a great point gained and keeps the feel good period going.
Brian makes this the best match thread, brilliant again and must be due a LFW medal from Clive

Sounds like a lot of very aggrieved Rangers fans aren't going to be there for kick off, thanks to East Midlands Rail cancelling connecting train.

Did they manage to get there?

There are some real contenders for outstanding contributions by posters on here - Brian's match commentary, Smegma's reports on the U-23s, the late lamented Robith Relegation Index spring to mind. I think some sort of Poster of the Year title voted for by all of us wouldn't be a bad idea.

PS does remind me of when one of the more amateur fanzines (I think it was called "Oooh it's my groin" - decided to have a player of the year award - Dave Bardsley won - and the best prize he could afford was a bag of plums. Apparently it took him several minutes to persuade The Bard that he wasn't taking the piss.

Forest are a counter attack team so if you sit back against them they struggle to break you down and it worked for us today.
