A helpful guide for everyone having a go at Furlong on Saturday - one foot on the line is not a foul throw.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

It would’ve been nice if the Lino standing close to Furlong actually looked at what he was doing instead of continually looking towards the penalty area. They only have one job to do at throw ins,but he wasn’t doing his very well.

After Saturday's debacle, throw in the towel may be apposite.

Why is the thrower wearing a pair of Clarks shoes?

He's actually wearing a rather nice pair of Alessandro Demesure Oxford Venezia calf leather shoes size 10 If I'm not mistaken.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

The ones I looked at (two or three) his forward foot still had a heel on the line. So not foul throws.

Not what I saw. I was behind him and, as kensalriser says, he had a heel on the line. If any part of his foot is touching the line, it's not a foul throw.

I'm jealous of anyone who has time to watch the extended highlights, never mind where Furlong's foot is THREE times. Something badly wrong with my life.

I was at the game. I haven’t seen any highlights.

A players foot can be over the line and onto the playing area. The picture doesn’t really help or tell the full story.

Interesting use of the truncated icosahedron design for the ball, too. The 1970 Adidas Telstar?

? The words state that part of the law clearly.

The players foot shouldn't be wholly over the line.

Does a heel spur count?

The solution here is to wear these and take the throw-in backwards

And if you’re 1-0 you can waste half an hour sorting your laces out.

...and also, take the throw roughly where the ball went over the line - don't creep up 10 yards, then another 10 for the actual throw!

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it would be about how useless the QPR throw ins were. They are terrible and look as if the idea is to see how far the taker can get the ball into the area, rather than aim for a teammates head for a flick on or attempt at goal.

I think they need to practice throw ins for both creating chances but also on retaining possession.

While I am at it, can they also practice attacking and defending corners and free kicks, especially the latter.

QPR's ser pieces this season have regressed . It's time to hire a set piece coach.

Our set-pieces create a iot of opportunities - for the opposition.

I’m all for a specialist to take the job but they really need to work for the head coach, as we see with Arteta and his colleague. It’s their main attacking threat these days.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?
