Played crap first half. Down to 10 men for a lot of the game. Came out and went for it and made people forget that fact. Passion, and fight and a great goal in the last minute to get a well deserved point and could have won it at the end. There's the rub |

I think the 1st half can be explained by the going a goal down after 20s through a mistake, an outrageous red card and a goal conceded after a bit of pinball and a shot accross goal that 9 times out of 10 goes wide or is deflected. It becomes a big hurdle to get over, but they did. Credit to all for regrouping at half time and finding the spirit and the belief to get over it and produce that second half | | | |

At the beginning of the season forwards seemed to be the least of our worries. But with Kone's injuries and form, whatever is happening with Kolli it is now a concern. No sign of Obikwu today either.
Hopefully Kone and Kolli will available in three weeks time and of course it's very positive the amount of chances that we create, there is a good chance that things will improve sooner rather than later. |  | | |

I guess I worry too much. Great to see that character today but most of us expected 3 points before kick off. We have played five home league and cup games this season and only won once. If the club have ambitions of being in the top 6 at the business end of the season then we really need to start winning at home. This run of draws has seen Stoke make up 7 points on us to draw level. We are seeing better displays but the end result at home is still disappointing in terms of dropped points as has happened in the past few seasons. |  | | |

I get it, but for me football isn't just about seasons, competitions, league positions and silverware. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to win something, and I'd love us to finish higher up the league table. But for me football is primarily about matches. That one started badly. It got worse. And then worse again. But we fought back, and we were all over them at the end. We didn't win but we scored twice to not lose, and that feels really really good after being so despondent halfway through the game. |  | | |

Look, I’m delighted we got a point but Preston were there for the taking from the get go. The team selection was appalling. Chucking in a 16 year old when Smyth, Saito and Lloyd were all on the bench. Unfortunate to have Vale get injured in the warm up, but why for the life of me replace him with a defensive midfielder. We are playing a side without a manager and struggling for any form. The game showed once again our inability to convert so many clear cut chances. The ref didn’t help. Gave them so much. The time wasting from their keeper was a joke but somehow was not booked despite giving us a corner at one point! How have the club allowed Kone to come back from pre season so unfit? That appears double standards if Kolli is deemed to be unfit to be in the side. Where was Obikwu today? Played a 10 mins cameo at Charlton and vanished again. That’s 4 games without a win and still only one win at home. I’m afraid this first part of the season we flatter to deceive and mid table it will be. Too many players are just not cut out for the intensity of this league or to last 90 mins. | | | |

I'm really not sure that concentrating on the negative is the way to go. That way depression, decline and inevitable mediocrity lie. That was a huge morale boosting second half, concentrate on that, fixate on that, more of that please. Bloody hell enjoy the good stuff while you can. | | | |

Ref was weak as hell: Preston have managed to work out you can still massively time waste with a ref like this if he only starts counting down 5 seconds after you’ve spent 45 seconds faffing around before even looking like you might take a goal kic. |  | | |

You win games in your head as much as you do on the pitch. To concentrate on that, best forgotten, first half would be an incredibly ridiculously stupid thing to do, IMHO. |  |

I'm happy. Yes shocking first half, slack, mistakes all over the place. I'm sure they will analyse it.
But that's not my job, so I'm focusing on that second half. Guts, togetherness, entertainment. When we equalised most of them immediately ran back to half way to try and win it. Adamson, young lad on the other side of the world, giving everything coming into his own. Paul Smyth, Nico Madsen, Jimmy Dunne, Koki Saito, Ronnie, Alfie, all of them really. All likeable, hardworking, clearly care, pride in the shirt. Same with the manager.
Old school noisy, chaos. Reminded me of some of those Rowlands, Cook, Furlong era days. I am generally quite easily pleased, but honestly that will do for me. |  | | |

Gazza only got a yellow card for his tackle in the SF of 1990.I think Cirkin should’ve got the same but it had shades of Varane’s at Blackburn a couple of seasons ago in that all the opposition players decided to hound the ref until they got what they wanted. |  | | |

That’s where I am, too. Awful goal to concede - JD is not properly match fit. Then the 2nd goal (really should have been dealt with) and the red card.
Half time magic from the boss and we p issed that 2nd half with 10 men. I’m delighted with that reaction. We should have won that, but that was a ballsy performance. |  |
