Roque Mesa a Swansea style player.......a style we once were!? 09:13 - Sep 25 with 9738 viewsmagicdaps10

Not being picked by the manager!!

We all strive to get back to that fluid, passing football that was a behold too watch, setting us aside to most teams in this league.

Some managers can come in as relegation fighters and are good at it BUT ultimately none have gone on to bring back the Swansea style.

Bad decisions at the wrong times have been the big issue at our club for the last three seasons, mistakes not being rectified or learnt upon.......do that in most work places and you will soon be visiting the job centre.

Spot on MD10. And Clement only brought him on on Saturday because he panicked. Mesa's obviously class, wtf wasn't Clement seeing in him to continually bench him?

The reaction on the bench to his mistake at the end tells us what they see in him.

If you mean it was his mistake that led to the 2nd goal, then we shouldn't play Bony or Mawson for the same reason.

I think what Jasper means is Clement's reaction, throwing his hands in the air and all the coaches chucking their notes down. This was even before the goal had been scored, that reaction for what would have been just a misplaced pass.

Like I said, he's f*cked here while Clement is in charge. Very bad move for him.

Mesa is a long way behind the midfield combinations that got us here and entertained us with our positive, intricate, creative, inventive and stylish brand

Makelele is instrumental in all things midfield. His reaction in particular was telling. Folk should consider this when thinking about Mesa's predicament. He hasn't been involved for good reason

Riddle me this then... Why so much hate for mesa from PC? Why didn't they all lob their notes down when bony help them to a goal? Is it his tash? His IQ?

Its because our coaching staff prefer playing "dot to dot".. and Mesa decided to crack open the colouring book when we were just about to complete the last dot of a dog taking a dump on the pitch.

"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."

I dont know the answer, but maybe, just maybe he's done this, or somehting similar a few times in training and he's been told to cut it out.

On the other hand it might be because he wears his cap with the peak at the back. (Well he was earlier on today)

We arent to know, but there must be a reason.

I liked the cut of his jib despite his error. Really got us moving the ball nicely . His coming on coincided with our best half of football this season, IMHO.

Not sure. Clement will fall on his sword soon enough though unless the side shows something / anything to justify his decisions.

I'm sure Makelele was loving the 6 at the back zero risk anti-football at home against Watford but the defensive solidity he specialised in as a player is just one piece of the puzzle that makes up a competitive football team.

We're going to keep getting done over at home if half the team are setup to not want the ball, or ever take a risk. It makes any away side's job easy.

Same thing he wasn't seeing in Leon (who pretty much saved his ass last season, and has been dropped for the likes of Clucas for the privilege). Shame. Although Mesa's far from the finished article (for us/the PL).

I felt sorry for Mesa. He had a very good game and his forward-thinking play tipped the balance of play in our favour in the second half.

He also showed a lot of passion for the shirt - if you watch him in the replays of Tammy's goal, you can see the visible excitement as he knows it's going in and he sprints over to the corner fist-pumping the whole way. He was clearly devastated about the Watford winner.

It was a mistake, but an unfortunate one - not a complete howler like Mawson's.

Any videos of these notes being thrown down and Clement's arms flailing Siggy style?

I felt a bit the same mind right at that moment but I don't have a vendetta against him.

Anyone?

No video, didn't see the bench, but from where I was sat I could see Clement as he was stood up. He did throw his arms in the air then booted a water bottle down the touch line.

Clement went bonkers as soon as the ball was lost.

Yes, somebody should have a word with Messa, and somebody should definitely speak to Mawson.

Who is going to have a word with Clement and kick his ass? he was equally to blame for Saturdays loss.

Exactly and there's a way of dealing with players fking up, behind closed doors not throwing them under the bus to the media, how does he think it will help the football if the players are afraid to make a mistake.
