Coupled with the swans recent form, albeit seven points from nine, it’s still a worry if an out of form Swansea can get anything from this game. A change of form is needed. Quickly. Or the creativity will burst through and we’ll smash them. Or a nil nil. I’ve got three fences to sit on here

In fairness, and I am genuinely curious, can you point me to the last time he made 5 changes for a league game? Glad to see him mixing things up though, and I certainly wont blame Cooper if it backfires. We need to find a way to get back to playing well and winning, and I think it's become clear that using the same core of 8/9 players every game wasn't going to be able to get us back to that- at least not quickly enough to keep up our tilt for the automatics.

Rotation is designed to keep players fresh and focussed. It is not designed to rest players that are knackered from being overplayed. Cooper had to rotate before unexpected bad results and bad performances became apparent. Manning Latibeaudire should have already both played 15+ times . Both are clearly good enough. Roberts and Ayew have not been rotated. it all very well calling the 'freaks of nature' but no good at all if there is a listless performances at Wembley or play off semis with fans to witness it.

Yes thank you I'm aware of the benefits of rotation. The squad has to be good enough to cope with it en masse though. We're not the type of team who wins games comfortably, so i don't think we'd have as many points as we do now if Cooper had made the changes people call for. Latibeaudiere has played just the right amount, he's young learning and thankfully his clangers haven't been too detrimental. Could be different if he'd played more. We rotate Ayew out, how many points do we pick up over the last week? People think swapping players will make everything fine doesn't work like that. [Post edited 13 Mar 2021 12:04]

It's about time Lowe got a break. I still don't think Dhanda and Hourihane can start together. Lets hope they shove those words down my throat. We needed the changes and now we need a performance. The stick to beat Cooper with, that depends on what happens surely? If we play well and we win there is no stick, if we are rubbish and we win there is a smaller stick. If we play well and we lose....who knows.

We have been too defensive lately and this is having a negative pull on the team, we are sitting back inviting the opposition onto us, this is making us defend more which is tiring, its a vicious circle. We need to start taking the game to the opposition and today's team will do this, smith and grimes will be busy helping out the back 3 though as hourihane and dhanda are not defensive players.

I totally agree about dhanda and Hourihane. Goes back to my point about rotation potentially being effective if you've got the players to do it. He's rotated the midfield, but is this suited to Luton away? We'll see.

Great start and Grimes was magnificent, preventing a goal at one end then we break and Dhanda and Houri combine, I'll shut my mouth! We need to go for them now, no sitting back.
