| Wales v Iran : Match Day Thread on 12:38 - Nov 25 by onehunglow | Great build up Wonderful red wall Beautiful anthem Then we witness that An insult, pure and simple. Ramsey on that field of field alone was enough to shame us all. Bale now just a name in MLS taking big money for an easy time. He'd taking the pyss, simple as that. Sadly, too many taking in by the emotion of it all when the reality is we have few real international quality players and that we have are now a parody of themselves. Joe ,Im afraid ,is more of a concern for me. To have taken out there in the first place was crazy .The lad is not fit.He was sent out to play his first game in 31 degree heat in the Middle East. It could have damaged his health so forgive me if Im rather relieved to be out of this cess pit of a tournament with his over sentimental ,sickening ,hypocritical media drivel . The surprising thing of all was how we managed to somehow qualify. NO OFFENCE MEANT TO ANYONE,EITHER DELIBERATELY OR NOT.THE VIEWS ARE MY OWN AND NOT MEANT TO CAUE FRICTION,ANIMOSITY OR TO INSTIGATE DISHARMONY. Have a beautiful day ,dear friends. |
Rich, I understand what you are saying and I agree with a lot of it, but Bale taking the piss is never right, he's nearing the end and its a pity the World Cup qualification has come so late in his career as I'm sure he would have lit the place up 8 yrs ago and again 4 yrs ago, its all come to late for him unfortunately, as for Ramsey he's always flattered to deceive for me, he hasn't been a bad player by any means, but the lording that's afforded him on times is somewhat way over the top.

Good reply Steve. I stand by what Ai say though. It’s a good exchange though. Someone mentioned Giggs. I didn’t have the nerve to point out this cretin was the biggest insult of all for us. To think he was manager I’m trying to stay out of this

We started against USA without Moore up top. Play Ampadu as the only midfielder able to run in a two with Ramsey. I'm really not sure what Wilson or Bale offer other than set pieces. There are a lot of quality players, I think we just need to rejuvenate the squad now. The old guard have done their bit and done a fantastic job, but it's time to get the youngsters in.

| Wales v Iran : Match Day Thread on 16:52 - Nov 25 by STID2017 | Bale was at his prime rated as one of the best three players in the world. What is it with the British we build up our heroes just to kick them. His best days have gone but he has earned his place in Welsh football history. Also he always turned up for duty when asked, unlike Giggs |

I struggle to see a lot of quality players, Bale and Ramsey are past their sell by date. Neco and Connor were awful, add Ampadu to those two. Not one player came out of the game with any credit. The future is worrying looking at the squad with Page

I think we are trying to play like a side who are better than what they are. We try to play and keep the ball like a top tier side, but we would be much better playing like Iran did or we did in 2016 and being solid hitting teams on the counter. Ward, Mepham, Neco, Davies, Johnson, Moore, James are all playing premier league regularly. Ampadu and Rodon play top flight in Italy and France respectively. One area we lack is in the middle, other than Ampadu we don't really have anyone coming through. We have enough quality in there to have a decent side, i think the way we have set up has caused enormous problems.

England hammered Iran by attacking down the flanks. Moore had one cross played in all game, our full backs just never attacked. You honestly thought Neco had a good game?

I know you’re English but you shouldn’t troll fans of your own club who are feeling quite deflated after an admittedly poor performance. On the other hand we should have beaten the USA where you lot struggled to a draw. Maybe the Ukraine should have replaced England who’ve done nothing since 1966. [Post edited 25 Nov 2022 22:31]

I think we needed his aggression from the off as they had plenty. God knows why page took amps off, we needed him on too and he was playing ok. Iran can’t have been in a good place after the loss to England but we let them play their game and settle in to it, eventually realising we were there for the taking. Cannot believe how poor bale and Ramsey were…both games. Gutted

| Wales v Iran : Match Day Thread on 22:44 - Nov 25 with 630 views | builthjack | Iran brought in arguably 5 better players for todays game. Tactics to play a weak side v England, then play a strong side against us and Uncle Sam. Old Carlos got it right. | |

Mrs loves the football and she thought Rodon was all over the place,I only caught the last 35 mins, I was lucky as I had a job at a former cricket team mate's house, got job finished and watched rest of the game Could see a goal coming though, when they hit post twice in virtually the same move, I give us some hope of nicking an underserved winner, not to be though.
