The news we have is that Jeremy Monga could well make the bench after knuckling down in training over the past week or so. 1 Swansea City: Lawrence Vigouroux; Filip Lissah, Ben Cabango (captain), Stephen Welsh, Josh Tymon; Marko Stamenic, Stephen Eustaquio, Elijah Just; Joseph Opoku, Melker Widell, Adam Idah. | Queens Park Rangers V Swansea City : Match Thread on 16:54 - Oct 24 by pete | there must be something REALLY wrong today 5 0 and by a country mile this is the worst display this season unfortunately for me next game is a must win for confidence or a possible slide on the way, safe trip home to you travelling jacks |
My first reply disappeared. By a long way. Let’s not pretend this was coming or was a reflection of how we’ve been playing. There was something really wrong with us defensively today, both as a unit and from individuals. First time we’ve really let ourselves down, but we did it in spectacular fashion. I can’t think of any positives other than a couple of teams around us also dropping points. Over to Matos to get them firing for Blackburn next weekend. He has to prove that was a one off.

| Queens Park Rangers V Swansea City : Match Thread on 17:13 - Oct 24 by wwcigne | There was no second half reaction after being ripped apart in the first, the subs made absolutely no difference in the second, which tells me that tactically our players and staff didn’t know what to do All talk of going up needs binning if we don’t get a response in the next game and Blackburn have a savvy boss who will look at the video of today and make it hard for us next Saturday This may have been a one off ,it happens Matos needs to find his best team ,We’ll find out next week if he knows what that is |
Second half was damage limitation. I think he may have gone all out if we had gone in at 3-0. There was no real attempt to get back into it second half, either from the players or the bench.

| Queens Park Rangers V Swansea City : Match Thread on 16:59 - Oct 24 by union_jack | That’s been one of the most inept, disinterested, pathetic performance I’ve seen in some time, especially under Matos. What on earth went wrong there. We couldn’t do any of the v=basics right. Defensively shambolic. Don't forget, this was the best defence in the league at 3-00. They were woefully slow and disorganised. Deliveries into their box were awful as well. Tymon had his worst game ever in a Swans shirt I’d say but I’m not singling him out. The midfield battle was men against boys and as often happens in those circumstances, we were devoid of any luck with the bounce of the ball. Matos has to earn his money this week as the body language on most of our players for the bulk of the game showed how much the confidence has been stripped from them. Some churlish people may say that QPR weren’t even that good. Not me, I thought they were excellent. They played with energy, were well organised and most importantly took their chances. They deserved it without a shadow of a doubt. Over to you Vitor. |
Exactly my thoughts. They couldn't do anything right today.

That was QPR’s first win in 7 Lucky they weren’t on a roll, it might have been double figures

That wasn’t about QPR. It was about how shambolic and uncharacteristic our defending was. Not taking anything away from them, they took their chances and held us at arms length professionally, but anyone would have beaten us today. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Queens Park Rangers V Swansea City : Match Thread on 15:57 - Oct 24 by Legend83 | What a nightmare. That's two mistakes in a few weeks from Widdell that has cost goals - he owes us two and should have them today. Man for man we are terrible. So many massive gaps in midfield. They are well drilled and strong and we have no answer. Write it off and move on. |
I thought Stamenic lost the ball against WHU or are you talking about Norwich?

Could have just been one of those days, but I said last week that we seemed to be regressing and I was worried that we might be about to throw away the advantage of our good start. Dire display today.

Before the break he was playing well since then his performances have dipped. The number of games at this level and internationals games catching up?

Ah internationals ! Players love getting capped for their country Trouble is their clubs always feel the result of playing too many games in a short period of time

| Queens Park Rangers V Swansea City : Match Thread on 18:47 - Oct 24 with 1242 views | Fireboy2 | I see the negative doom monger is back on, took a while though, only 90 minutes. The defeat has absolutely fcuk all to do with internationals, the internationals players arent tired at all, they have been back over 2 weeks ffs 🙄 As I have said put it down to one of those days, dust ourselves down, work hard in training and dont take a backward step against blackburn, Mowbray has got them playing well, but we should do them if we hit them hard and early. | | | |

It is what it is on another day and all that, we didn't turn up to day and got hit early by 3 goals in 15mins, disappointing, but we move on, onwards and upwards as they say, there's no other option, just hope we can learn from today.
