Why'd he spend so much on Whittaker if he wanted a traditional 9? Same thing with Lowe in the summer. It's not like he's had to make do with no signings of money.

Depends on what you assess against - if it’s a broadly financially stable championship club then they are doing ok, probably a B- grade for me.

But if you assess against the much quoted ‘taking us to the next level’ then you get a significantly less impressive result.

Let's be honest. Cooper has been given f all in funding. Yanks - I have said from the start that they won't put a penny in. A good striker would have got us up.

Which would be good if we'd had one or two we could rely on. All we had though was Cullen, one for the future.

I think the Yanks are good owners, the club is financially stable. No point in playing like Barcelona if you end up close to bankruptcy!

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

They have put money in. Could be as much as £10m, It is currently a loan but will most probably be converted to shares. This will dilute the Trust. If you want investment with fresh cash that means Trust dilution. Beware because it is a tricky business. Stoke have invested £180m have great squad but below Swansea and unable to beat Cardiff tonight. They have persistently paid over the odds.

Swansea paid the big ticket money on Hourahaine with two cheap Americans. Morris was crocked and Ariola not given a run like Whitaker.

I would say that they have taken out far more than they have put in.
Investors, that's all they are. they don't give two hoots about Swansea City.

What use would a CF be in this team other than as someone else for us to eventually end up hoofing it to?

Roberts and Bidwell were putting great balls into the box up until 5/6 weeks ago. No decent forward to finish the moves off. A decent CF would hold the ball up to bring others into play. Ours can't keep it. A decent CF would chase every ball. Ayew and Lowe are slow, lethargic, lazy.
So yes, a centre forward would help the cause immensely. You can't see it ? Seriously ?

Ayew and Lowe are knackered. I wouldn’t describe either of them as slow, lethargic or lazy. They just need to recharge. Same goes for Roberts and Bidwell, which is why Roberts isn’t making as many lung busting sprints to get crosses in/get on the end of them and Bidwell is out of the team.

Do agree we need someone who can hold the ball up though. Arguably Gyorkores could have done that, he just couldn’t do much else.

Plenty of Premier League players play 50 plus club games, with European games, plus another 7 or 8 for their country. They never complain of tiredness though.

Very few Premier League players have 58 game seasons.

Those that do, invariably don’t play in hybrid positions like wing back that cover a lot of ground or striker/winger or whatever you would describe Lowes role as that involve a lot of sprinting,

Surely there’s no disputing they are fatigued?

Ayew is anything but lazy, if anything he does too much and runs himself ragged.

On the CF point, imagine what Llorente would have doen with the crosses we used to put in earlier this season!

Other teams have figured us out. Push up high on us, close our wing backs down quickly and we have no other options. That's when we have the ball. Then you look at our defending, how did Billing have so much space, and Danjuma late on? Why do we surrender so much ground before making a challenge?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

“So much”?

Tell me a striker good enough to be the starting striker of a promotion chasing club for 700k.

The likes of Whittaker and Lowe were signed due to their potential value increases as the clubs we signed them from were in financial trouble.

Without doubt Lowe is now worth a couple of million at least and hopefully Whittaker can get a similar return once he develops.

If that’s the case we will then have £4m or £5m to buy said striker which is more in line with the fees required to get one. While fans have a “now, now, now” mentality and can’t look beyond the current season, clubs often make the best decisions when planning for the years ahead.

£200,000 initial fee. The rest later, depending on how he develops.

They have spent Nothing but the clubs money and in comings from transfers ,whilst at the same time raped the club in paying themselves dividends and huge interest on loans.

What is our net spend on transfers since they have been here? Maybe somebody with a bit of time can work that out and then add on the £100million plus in parachute payments.

Take us to the next level , there really are some mugs out there if they think the yank hedge fund coonts are interested in anything other than lining their own greedy pockets.

I look forward to the usual sellout rsole lickers replies.

Obviously, that's why we never hear Premier league managers complaining about too many games...well, we only hear those from big teams who are in Europe who actually do play over 50 gmes a season, like Klopp the stropp.

These EPL teams rotate though, they have the squads to do it.

Look at Liverpool last season, only 2 players hit 50 appearances.

https://www.lfchistory.net/SeasonArchive/Appearances/129

Manchester city,

https://www.premierleague.com/clubs/11/Manchester-City/squad

The Mancs seem to getting around 25ish league appearances. So saying plenty play 50 plus isn't right.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?
