Thats where I disagree, I don't think he is trying to stir things up, if he was he'd have lead with that or continued on that theme but he asked plenty of other questions about the character of the team, his own performance, getting to a semi final. He could have phrased it better but no one is perfect and he followed up by trying to end the interview on a positive note talking about the fans and his achievement rather than pushing that narrative further.
As I say Sky & BBC as well as Fox all asked a very similar question to Bellingham with none of the abuse towards their journalists.
I think this the abuse the fella is getting is miles over the top for the crime of asking questions.

Another vote for the Audio Description guy.
Its fiddly on my TV (Samsung) but I go into a couple of menus and change the audio in accessibility to Audio Description, which is a more descriptive commentary (like the radio) for blind, or sight impaired viewers.
The commentary is a bit more busy, but you don't get pre-prepared monologues, there are less personal opinions, no suicidal Lee Dixon and actual some insight into tactics as well.
I enjoyed it a lot, but it can make the adverts funny, when the AD starts telling you whats happening during the break!
Overall a very good service and almost made iTV bearable, hopefully Comcast will have a massive shake up and we can see some of the old stock shunted on |  | | |

He's a journalist though rather than a cheerleader, all he did was ask what he meant when he said they didn't play well. A bit of an over reaction to it.

Agreed on the first point - the usual English storm in a teacup.
Not so much on the second point, largely down to the dreadfulness of Matterface and Dixon; when the likes of Champion and Hutchinson are so much better. |  |

Rooney has been quite refreshing, dropping little nuggets in, like going to Switzerland for Fifa to reduce his ban. 100% all the other pros would keep that inside knowledge.
He's similar to the England assistant coach they keep sticking a microphone in front of, honest to a fault!

Rooney has been really good, he struggles to get his point across at times but he reads the game well and has been bang on with a lot of what he has said.
I quite enjoyed Bradley Wright-Phillips as well which I really didn't expect.
It's quite hard for pundits in a World Cup, due to how many people are watching the directive is to not go into depth on tactics etc and make it so that a person who watches football once every 4 years can understand what you are talking about. Thats partly why Roy Keane is always on ITV as he is quite direct and to the point which annoys the XG generation who want a lot more depth.

I can't believe Alan Shearer is not getting a mention here - doesn't even know players names half the time, offers literally nothing in terms of analysis and often comes out with complete nonsense.
