As capt FF was quite rightly telling Mesa to switch on.
Mesa smiled in an almost embarrassing way to the fact that he had almost given a goal away yet again, he thought by grinning and sticking his hand up it would be ok. Fede gave him what for, quite rightly, if you are playing at this level you need to accept some very straight feedback and refelect on it.
Mesa is making the same errors game after game he is not reflecting on his performance and subsequently not improving.
Anyone who has played sport at any decent level knows that this is the way it works. |  |

Don't be silly. Every game is a realistic yardstick. Mesa has been disappointing and along with Clucas it's almost £30m that Jenkins has tipped down the bog.
Mesa makes too many mistakes. Isn't doing enough in games and I'm sure most fans would give him 5/10 on his performances so far. We all appreciate its more difficult to shine in a struggling team unless you're a keeper but he's been average at best. But if you like his moustache you crack on.  | |

A decent manager this season could have produced a decent team and we would be nowhere near the bottom five.
Today is a totally different story, not one player has a shred of confidence left, I would not know where to start with picking a team for Watford and as for Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool being our next home games!!!

He has a mistake in him yes but he is constantly looking for a non existent outlet. Our players don't move enough or even want the ball. That makes it more likely that he will try a pass that is not on or dangerous. He wont set the world alight at this level but he does try. |  | | |

Good player who would look far, far better with movement around him. One of the few we have.
And yes, if you can’t see that, or why he is struggling with the likes of Fer and Ayew, then football probably isn’t your thing.

He is the only midfielder we have capable of picking the ball up deep in our half, carrying it forward or starting moves off. The only one who takes responsibility and wants the ball. We don’t have a fulcrum when he isn’t playing (as Leon hasn’t played this season). Watch us without him, count how many times we go back to Fab from reasonable positions because they are all scared to make mistakes.
He is far from perfect, particularly off the ball, but we’re a better team when he is playing.
