Don't worry mate, we're both around the same vintage! I can't remember my first pint, it would have been around 1970, when I was 15.
I remember getting recked on Worthington best bitter when I went on a caravan holiday to Tenby with a gang of mates that year. I don't remember the pub, it might have been the site club, during a disco.

Mid 80s - Gower inn, pint of tennents lager, one of my mates would have gone to the bar, because I definitely looked underage.

We sheepishly drunk our pints under the dartboard in use.
I had three pints of lager and lime we could not believe we’d actually got away with it.

I paid 50p for my first ever pint - Carlsberg. It was in the Westgate Hotel in Newport. March 1979. I was 14.

The daftest part was that before I went out my mum had warned me not to leave my drink unattended as someone might slip something (she never specified exactly what) in it. So having nipped for a pee I was too scared to drink it.

The only place I know where you can get pissed,well kind of, on a pound is Bulgaria.

A pint of Kominitzer lager chilled,similar to Heineken was just 33p a pint a few years back.

I would go out with £3, a few pints, disco, and then a bite to eat. Get home by midnight, act sober, and still have plenty of change.
