He couldn’t finish a cup of tea. if he could just slide the ball either side of the keeper rather than just kick it straight at him every time we would be top of the league tonight.

Hear, hear! He’s a player who looks like he’s suffering a crisis of confidence in front of goal. Once he scores again, he’ll settle down. He’s a very good forward, gets into good positions and makes himself available. A lot of players have barren patches when they can’t seem to score.

I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you on this one, although I'd absolutely love to be proved wrong. [Post edited 9 Nov 2020 15:14]

Out of form strikers usually fall over, panic and scuff their shots. If Lowe keeps his confidence he will score by getting clean strike away early. Swansea cannot afford £10m for a stiker or play Charlie Austin £40,000 a week. Work with Lowe he is a late developer, is fast and has the basic skills. |
Is he a late developer? He has had one average season when playing in the English Football League. Somehow, his agent has managed to secure a move to Wigan and now Swansea off the back of that one average season with Portsmouth in 2018 where he scored 15 goals in 45 games. I do not see why we have to call him a "late developer". He looks to be a perfectly average League 1 / bottom half of the Championship winger. He doesn't appear to be getting any better.

Hang on, 15 in 45, that's 1 in 3. 1 in 3 is very good especially for a winger. Writing him off after a handful of games just seems wrong. His career stats say roughly 1 in 4.

How much did we pay for him? 800k? That is daylight robbery . He offers us so much in our current set up and he will start hitting the target once he gets his eye in. Always in the right place - I hope he gets a run of goals in our next few games to settle him down and get the morons off his back .

I don't we should consider his career stats as a whole when the majority of it was spent between the sixth and eighth tiers of the English football pyramid. Furthermore, judging him as a winger is completely irrelevant. We do not play with wingers. He was brought here to play as a striker. We should be judging him as a striker. Thus far he is proving to be inadequate and is costing us an alarming number of points through his consistent failure to convert an acceptable number of excellent goal scoring chances that he is being provided. Is it his fault he is being played out of position? No, that is the fault of the club's management (including Cooper and whoever decided to bring him in). Nevertheless, that doesn't excuse him from fair criticism.

He wasn't brought in as our striker. He was brought in to complement Ayew and operate in a fluid front 3. A highly dynamic forward line which is wreaking havoc with the top teams (check out Frank's comments on how they struggled to cope). Many of the best teams nowadays operate with such a system. Cooper and the squad are setting up and delivering some of the best football we've seen in some time. Lowe is a massive part of that, and is growing in confidence game by game. He will be banging them in for fun soon.

Unbelievable how some people can't or don't want to see that DYSS doesn't care. All he wants is the reaction, and loads of people still give him them.

Lowe passed it to Bidwell for the second The chance today he missed p*ssed me off, he needs to improve fast with finishing as we can’t keep letting teams off hook but overall he’s needed big time for what he brings outside the box.
