Faffing around had cost us an Russ needs to address this. It aint smart at all.Bournmouth are very smart with a smart manager who will get them back to the Prem. Ours won't be doing that .Clearly. Grimey today is back to his normal mediocre e overated self. Downes sacrificed on the Matt Altar. Please God he moves in January. Obefemi seems to have attitude.Wonder why. Hope Downes doesnt move on in January .

| Bournemouth v Swansea City 2021/22 : Matchday Thread on 16:44 - Nov 6 by A_Fans_Dad | How about we just stop giving the ball away with slow easy to intercept passes? Our players have learnt nothing all game, just doing the same thing over and over with the same result. How about actually moving the ball forward quickly when we win it? They haven't played superior football, mostly long passes behind our line and fast attacks with clinical finishing. We have done none of those. |
If you want us to move the ball around quicker then you don't leave Jay Fulton back on Swansea.

That’s a great mystery to me. Fulton would fit in great to this system, yet he’s behind Walsh and smith.

We're not playing well, in fact we're having a bad day but with some help for Bournemouth from the ref too. I'm not hiding from any of that I'm simlpy saying that we need to accept we are not worldbeaters and this can happen. We went from people moaning we were shite to people claiming it was the lay offs as a minimum in the blink of an eye. This is a wake up call for us all. We are still improving (except today obviously) but hopefully this is just a blip on the upward curve. This defeat doesn't mean a whole lot in the context of the whole season. Well, as long as we don't keep performing like this all season anyway. Some people's knees are jerking so much it makes Michael Flately look like a statue.

Trying to dribble the ball out from your own penalty spot is just madness.
| Bournemouth v Swansea City 2021/22 : Matchday Thread on 17:00 - Nov 6 with 1356 views | sw02sea | Absolute shambolic defending. Pathetic!!! We should have lost by at least 8. We just don’t have the personnel to pass it out from the back, when under the high press. I’m amazed the sub Whittaker wasn’t subbed, looked like he was wearing lead divers boots. | | | |

I agree with all that. The only player who breaks into a sprint is Laird. The team is too slow and predictable. Easy to defend against. And we fart around with it in front of our own goal. The last score summed up a poor day for the defence. To be honest we were lucky to keep it to 4.

We’ve identified some good players for January, who will strengthen us. Also December looks a decent month in terms of winnable games.

You see it's nothing personal vis a vi Martin. We have a team that CAN play but we do not do the basics ,one of which is to clear your lines out of defence when under pressure. Martin has not got us out of playing suicide football. This is not fair on the players and the fans. We've gone back for sure but maybe we were wrong to get that far forward. We were torn apart today by an efficient ,basic team with a killer instinct

| Bournemouth v Swansea City 2021/22 : Matchday Thread on 16:32 - Nov 6 by Catullus | Maybe we should remember we are a small squad and Bournemouth are top. This was why I was shooting down claims that we would be in the play offs at least. There is much still to be done. Also, people need to accept that even very good teams can lose and we aren't so good we can start moaning when the first placed team is beating us, at their home. It's going from one extreme to another. I've said it more than once, we need more strength in depth, we need a few more players in and hopefully in January that will happen. |
The squad isn't that small. Martin just makes it look that way with the lack of rotation. We've got a decent second XI apart from a couple of positions. Easier to ask for money to spend in January if everyone forgets they exist. Didn't catch any of the game before we were 3 down. Whittaker at left wing back seemed cruel to the lad, he's not got a defensive bone in his body. Should've stayed at Derby.
| Bournemouth v Swansea City 2021/22 : Matchday Thread on 17:11 - Nov 6 with 1238 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Martin s MK team were like this last season. A good run then a big defeat. Swansea were sunk by 3 there last season. Swansea need a Guehi in the loan market | |

Physically we are. How many clubs would have Naughton and Manning as 2 of a back 3.

| Bournemouth v Swansea City 2021/22 : Matchday Thread on 17:23 - Nov 6 with 1151 views | Dr_Winston | As entirely expected, after being largely absent from recent matchday threads Perchy is all over this one. Sad. Today was a free hit. Most teams will come away from Bournemouth with nothing. Whilst no doubt RM will be disappointed with a few things, it's just a step on the road. Some very winnable games coming up now and it's down to him and the team to ensure that we do. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Ryan Bennett is also red card waiting to happen every game. The defensive combination is not good enough away from home. Its lacks pace when teams play direct balls down the channels and lacks height if your up against old fashioned type forwards that score headers. I feel much more comfortable with Cabango in the team and I understand there is a mistake in him too and what happened to Rhys Williams, surely he can't be worse than what we got. Looks like passing is more of a priority than actual defending. You won't win things Russell if you don't get the basics right. You hear every week with Souness on Sky Sports going on about getting the basics right first, being hard to beat, closing down, winning the 50/50's etc.

| Bournemouth v Swansea City 2021/22 : Matchday Thread on 17:33 - Nov 6 with 1114 views | Johnw102 | A week ago would have taken 3 points from 2 very hard away games, had we got the pen early on and Ryan Bennett hadn't gone MIA for the first 2 goals we could have got something out of it. just can't beat them or score against them. Regroup over the international break look to have games where we could pick up a few points in December. | |

The problem as I see it is that Bournemouth have just demonstrated to the rest of the league how easily we can be beaten. By utilising the exact same tactics most big, strong teams with a couple of fast players can do the same to us.
