| Migrants getting in to the U.K. more than ever before on 16:42 - Nov 25 by Kilkennyjack | The UK should provide a safe passage route and get after the gangs. The threats to stop people in the water always had an inevitable outcome. UK government should be ashamed of their actions. |
Criminals send people to their death in France with a complete disregard for human life. It’s all Britain’s fault.

So have I. What do I expect? Customers treated with respect

| Migrants getting in to the U.K. more than ever before on 08:16 - Nov 26 with 900 views | Brynmill_Jack | I heard a load of bull sheet on radio wales yesterday - an Afghan boy and his family managed to escape to the EU and then went on to say Britain was putting desperate peoples lives at risk. Nonsense - they are no longer refugees escaping tyrannical regimes when the land in the EU. This is a very dangerous and misleading price of propaganda. The majority are working age men, looking for a friendlier place than France and somewhere easier to work on the black market. If Macron and the French want to moan at someone they should try Angela Merkel - it was her influence that opened the EU’s doors to mass migration. Let her and Germany sort it out. | |

France has taken almost 4 times as many refugees as we have.Should they take all the burden and we get away with a relatively few? I'm sure France would look upon this differently to the UK. France has a similar, population, GDP and infrastructure as we do.We should be thankful to the French for what they have already done, instead of the whinging selfish attitude of many in this country. "What's happening to the people" I'm surprised you haven't noticed . The indigenous population are getting poorer with declining standards in education social services and health care . I'm not against immigration , we need it but it has to be controlled with proper vetting and checks .On Radio 4 this morning I heard one potential illegal stating he wanted to come to the UK because he followed the football and man utd in particular . I wonder, what's your opinion on how for example Australia manage their borders.

PM programme tonight had an interview with an Afghan refugee in Calais. He had been working in Germany for 4 years but had just been kicked out of Germany so was trying to get to the UK.

They are in France and other countries They choose to come here as we provide more for them and will take their families from back home too. No other reason.. We are supposed to be a corrupt filthy Racist country so it is rather odd why anyone would want to come here Having said that, I’d trade our feckless trash for them as they will mostly be looking to work and work hard

France is a far bigger country than us, so they should take far more, Great Britain is full to the brim, only so much a country the size of GB can do.

Well George Bush and his muppet partner Tony Blair are to blame, but that was criminally and neatly brushed under the carpet. US are quick to start wars and drag other countries into those wars, so they should take a far far bigger responsibility for the aftermath of these wars.

Absolute Nonsense, the people waiting to cross the channel wouldn't go down the legal route anyway.

If there’s not that option we don’t know. Which bits of it do you think are nonsense? The numbers/types of migrants coming? Where they’re from? The removal of previously possible routes? Us not being the ‘preferred’ European destination? Further security in France pushing people to boats? Small numbers from war torn countries coming through official means? | Migrants getting in to the U.K. more than ever before on 19:10 - Nov 27 with 605 views | Badlands | Read this and revise your headline please. A Lord earns his Pay; worth a look. Yesterday afternoon. 4.27pm Lord Kerr of Kinlochard: Hansard 'First, overall refugee numbers are currently running at about half of where they were 20 years ago. We are not the preferred destination in Europe. We are ...well down the list of preferred destinations.' 'Secondly, yes, small boat numbers are up, partly ...as the fences, patrols and heat sensors around the train tracks and marshalling yards mean that people are now driven to the even more dangerous sea route. But the principal reason clandestine numbers are up is that official resettlement routes are shut.' 'We closed the Syrian scheme, we scrapped the Dubs scheme, we left Dublin III and we have not got an Afghan scheme up and running. The largest group crossing the channel in the last 18 months, by nationality, were Iranians. In the last 18 months, 3,187 Iranians. In the same period, ONE got in by the official route. How many came from Yemen, riven by civil war and famine, in these 18 months? None came by the official route –not one.' 'My third set of facts: the Home Secretary says that 70% of channel crossers are “economic migrants … not genuine asylum seekers”. That is plainly not true. Her own department’s data show that, of the nationalities arriving in small boats, virtually all seek asylum–61% are granted it at the initial stage and 59% of the rest on appeal. Well over 70% of asylum seekers coming across the channel in small boats are genuine asylum seekers, not economic migrants.' '...the top 4countries they come from are Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Syria. People fleeing persecution and destitution, and the sea route from France is the only one open to many of them. Unless we provide a safe route, we are complicit with the people smugglers. .'
