| WBA v Swansea City 21/22 Matchday Thread AFTERMATH 14:07 - Feb 21 with 20679 views | NotLoyal | Dean Whitestone will be the man in the middle when Swansea City visit West Brom at The Hawthorns tonight (8pm). The Northamptonshire official will be taking charge of the Swans for the first time this season, having been at the helm for the home win over Blackburn last term, as well as victories over Preston and Middlesbrough in the campaign before that. Whitestone has no shortage of experience, and has been refereeing for long enough to have had the whistle for a Swansea game during the club’s previous stint in the Championship. He will be assisted by Steven Meredith and Shaun Hudson, while Matthew Donohue will be the fourth official. You can watch tonight’s game on Sky Sports or for those who love an evening by the wireless Talk Sport 2. We will of course have this match day thread running throughout the day and this evening. Saturday morning Championship review : Latest Team News WBA v Swansea City 26th Feb 2022 08:43It isn’t time to start making predictions in the Championship just yet but this weekends games, if we include Swansea City as well are definitely going to split the middle of this league. February and March are defining months in the Championship mid table battle which decides who is heading towards the top six and who is basically hanging around mid table until the end of the season. 0 Russell Martin remains unmoved and resilient ‘ No compromise’ 26th Feb 2022 13:29Swansea City head to the Hawthorns for the main SKY TV Championship game on Monday. With limited resources at his disposal swans boss Russell Martin is more than happy to welcome back two key figures to his match day selections. Kyle Naughton and Hannes Wolf are back, and Martin issues his unconditional philosophy once again. 0 WBA v Swansea City : Two managers with the same desperate goal 28th Feb 2022 05:23Tonight’s game at the Hawthorns between two teams on a difficult run of results could prove pivotal for the remainder of the season. Russell Martin leads Swansea City in to the game, the swans last win on the road was away at Barnsley in November. Steve Bruce on the other hand is in charge of the baggies who have won only twice in their last twelve league games. 0 The WBA curse and there’s more than one to counter 28th Feb 2022 11:34Swansea City travel to the Hawthorns this evening with numerous hurdles to overcome. As we reported this morning not winning at West Brom for nine years is one issue, the other is trying to manage Andy Carroll who just loves to play against Swansea City. But that’s not all. 0 West Bromwich Albion: Sam Johnstone, Conor Townsend, Dara O'Shea, Kyle Bartley (captain), Semi Ajayi, Callum Robinson, Grady Diangana, Jayson Molumby, Andy Carroll, Adam Reach, Alex Mowatt. Substitutes: Darnell Furlong, Matt Clarke, Karlan Grant, Cedric Kipre, David Button, Taylor Gardner-Hickman, Quevin Castro. Swansea City: Andy Fisher; Ben Cabango, Kyle Naughton, Ryan Manning; Hannes Wolf, Flynn Downes, Matt Grimes (captain), Cyrus Christie; Joel Piroe, Jamie Paterson; Michael Obafemi. Substitutes: Ben Hamer, Jay Fulton, Korey Smith, Olivier Ntcham, Kyle Joseph, Joel Latibeaudiere, Finley Burns. Wham Bam Cheers Ntcham : Swans defeat the Baggies 2-0 28th Feb 2022 22:43A stylish last twenty minutes from Swansea City ensured three points and a huge sigh of relief for boss Russell Martin. Strikes from Joel Piroe and Cyrus Christie from well supplied crosses in the last quarter brought a huge smile to the big away swans support. It was a cold and damp night, a slick pitch underneath the lights and a first win in nine years at the Hawthorns for Swansea City. 0

Negativity or realism? If someone makes a bad pass in the 20th minute and someone comments on it… then scores in the 80th. That doesn’t affect the comment in the 20th minute, it sadly doesn’t make the pass any better. It has no effect. You are just loving causing issues again, you enjoy trolling fans of the club. | WBA v Swansea City 21/22 Matchday Thread PAY ON THE DAY on 21:46 - Feb 28 with 1354 views | LittleEnglandJack | West Brom are comically bad. Even at our worst we usually knock the ball around and look comfortable on the ball. Baggies can't even manage that. They just look completely clueless. Nice to see our travelling fans have something to cheer about, deserve it after the last few away games.

Crossing the ball and quick purposeful ball movement. There is a reason many of us have been calling for wingers. I stated it within the first 20 mins of this thread how much space there was to attack their wide defensive gaps and how much I would love wingers. Both our goals came from 2-3 passes from our own defensive third, attacking those spaces and getting the ball in the mixer.

Apart from hitting the post twice West Brom had another rotten game. Carroll barely touched the ball, and when they tried to play out patiently gave it away as readily as we usually do. 1 goal in their last 7 games tells you everything. Huge win for Martin. Combined with the Bournemouth postponement must ease the pressure he was definitely feeling.
