You're absolutely right, this is why the whole farce of the franchise system and rolling stock should be overhauled.

Is there a similar vote in Wales regarding the party that is running the NHS in Wales.

I think the big difference is that the Senedd is trying to make NHS Wales work. Its not easy, but the intent is true. The UK Tory party is trying to make the English NHS fail so it can privatise and make a fortune for friends and supporters. How else do you explain finding money for the Liz Truss financial disaster but not for nurses pay. No recognition of the Covid pressures and the fact that extra pay for nurses has wide public support. No attempt to replace the thousands of medical professionals who took Brexit as their reason to return to their European homes. And remember Johnsons 40 new hospitals ? Well guess what….. The Conservatives' pledge to build 40 new hospitals by 2030 is facing a review by the government's spending watchdog. The National Audit Office says it "plans to start a value for money review of the New Hospitals Programme later this year" and report its findings in 2023. The pledge was in the 2019 Conservative election manifesto and has been repeated many times by Boris Johnson. 🤡 [Post edited 2 Jan 2023 20:07]

The Senedd has failed to get any improvements in Wales despite labour being in power for 20 years. The Welsh NHS is the worst in the UK, Wales road infrastructure is terrible soon to be made worse by a 20 mph speed limit in urban areas which will increase air pollution and cause more deaths from pollution. Drakeford latest anti business diktat to to reduce tourism, which is Wales' biggest industry, will cause job losses and further impoverish the Welsh people. The rail industry unions are causing permanent damage to their members job prospects as well as loosing any support they had from their customers who use the trains.

Most politicians don't give a damn further than their own front door. Just read that A&E delays are causing 500 extra deaths a week (can't remember from the article whether that was UK wide or England though). It really is a travesty what politicians are doing to ordinary people. I've found myself having to drive to A&E on two occasions in the past year as despite the case being a priority the ambulance would've taken 2 to 3 hrs.

And who is the ultimate source of funding for the Senedd?

The Senedd has the option to raise funds by taxation. They also refused funding for road improvements.

Don't get me wrong I don't think they're perfect but by criticising the Senedd we are fixing the symptoms and not the cause. We need a radical overhaul of politics in the UK. Unpopular opinion - I'd be all for PR as it would get the likes of Reform a seat at the table so let's see how they'd cope with accountability.

I'd like to see political parties scrapped altogether, surely these people can vote for what they think would benefit their constituency without their party telling them.

How would that work? How would any laws or government policy be implemented. You would never get 650 MPs to agree on anything. I would like to see all unions become non political. They should be there to serve their members not for their members to be sacrificed to achieve the Union leaders political wishes.

Would you also like to see all newspapers become non political or is that just for Unions? I don't know if you have been in a Union, but the members give the leaders the mandate for any action, not the other way around.

Couldn't be any worse than what we have now, where 400 useless party line back benchers just do as they are told. Maybe in practice the constituencies would elect their MP as usual, there would then be a nomination for an MP to become PM which would be decided by a combination of MP and public votes. They would then choose their own cabinet. Maybe politicians now only don't agree on things due to party affiliation, ie. Lab never votes for Tory things and vice versa. Either way something needs to change or we are all going to be struggling in this shtshow.

My understanding and I could be wrong, is that overtime can be worked so money isn't lost. This is different to the NHS/School strikes where you lose wages and can't recover pay or days of service.
