Rarely are these shootings random. This poor kid could well have simply been in the way.,as was Rhys Jones.
Those who take firearms into public areas and into the houses of others should never see the light of day again as their intention is to maim or kill. We have to punish and punish properly.
He will have a barrister in Court offering mitigating circumstances and the xxxt will be looking for as light a sentence as possible,when iit really should be curtains for him.
We are not protecting our people.
We are not punishing people
We are releasing killers back out on to our streets because a panel of "experts" THINK it's safe for them to release .
We need a capital deterrent and we need mandatory 25 year sentences for knife carriers in a public place | |

Having representation in court is what makes us a civilised society though I’m fully aware of the irony in that considering the subject we’re discussing. I can assure you it won’t be their personal view but you’ll know that from your time in the police.
As for witnesses, the two adults have survived and I’m presuming at least one of them was a parent of the child. I wouldn’t give a jot about the consequences if I recognised the gunman if I were in their shoes.
Although we’ve jumped to conclusions about this being drug related, it’s got the hallmarks of an estranged partner going back in a fit of jealousy. All speculation of course. |  |

The mother was shot in the hand trying to stop the gunman getting in her house. The same bullet hit her 9 year old daughter.
The gunman had chased and shot a man, who was unknown to the family through her front door.
What makes it even worse, is the shot man's "friends" entered the house, picked him up and took him to hospital - leaving the little girl dying on the floor!! |  |

After hearing a few more details about this case, I suppose the best bet for information would be the 2 males the gunman was shooting at first, it would definitely be better for them if he was behind bars, although if it was drug war related, would it still be considered grassing given the police the name of someone trying to kill you? | |

Will makr no difference. Risks will be greater for the dealers, so prices and violence will rise. The only way is to legalise and regulate drugs. It will put the dealers out of business overnight
