Caught a section of planes, trains on Channel 5 this afternoon.
They cut out all the dialogue in the car hire scene and butchered the Steve Martin getting picked up by his nuts scene. Crying out loud funny back in the day. Not any more apparently. |  | | |

Yeh we did the same but then realised it was the pre watershed cut and stuck the DVD on instead. It’s weird the stuff them seem unsuitable in that film - they cut the Jamaican rum line in the motel, presumably because he does the accent! Just show it after 9pm if you’re going to show it.
“Another couple of balls and an extra set of fingers” gets cut which is tantamount to vandalism.

Going off on a tangent Ted, as mentioned in a completely different thead - I got my new Fender Player Strat today. Three tone sunburst, very well made. Easy to play even for a tenth rater like me.
Good range of tones but perhaps not quite the glassy sound of my 70s model.

I've got the American Vintage 11 series which was bloody expensive; original 57 pups and a solid ash body in off white, It is extremely heavy but beautiful to look at and the playability is exceptional.
I was strumming and riffing It today through my Fender Pro Junior vintage tweed (all valve) and then my Vox AC15C all valve (tube driven tremolo and reverb) amps; tone and volume, tone and volume keep fiddling with the tone and volume.
I'm chuffed to bits for you mate.
