Players get injured. Players returning from injuries often get injured again.
I'm not comparing the two in terms of ability or whatever, but Paul Furlong spent years before joining us and then the first few months after joining QPR perpetually injured with hamstring, back and knee woe. Everyone thought we'd signed a dud, ready for glue. There was even, if I recall, an article in a paper hailing his longest run of games for seasons before a cup game early on: he'd played seven games. Then he was injured again, missing that cup game and several more...
In the end, he wasn't done. He went on his longest run of games subsequently (thanks to the quietly excellent physio Prav) and became a club legend.
Obikwu is 22. He may never come good as a Championship striker. But he probably won't remain injured. And it's July. | | | |

Well, not just him, and not just this thread. As DaveB says higher up I don't like seeing this forum get dragged and taken the mick out of because it's my baby and something I've put a lot of time into.
A lot of the Taylor Richards stuff was legit, and I get it's like being in a relationship where one of the parties has told a big lie in the past you're always suspicious.
As far as I know Obikwu has just been really, really unlucky with injury since he got here. He's a young lad, probably as frustrated as everyone else. I think a bit of 'does he really exist' pis taking is fine, questions about our treatment of injuries overall totally legit, but when we're getting into outright conspiracy theory (and I've had to delete previous threads wildly speculating on other potential reasons with him) it's not on really. Or legally safe in some of the previous cases.
Just, like I say, think before posting.

It can be a hard read on here at times, nothing Is ever perfect nor will It be, this MB Is the only one I use/read.
We have over time lost some good posters.

The club put out a statement saying he wasnt fit for last friendly due to picking up another injury in a very small cameo appearance where he hardly got out of third gear. Dont see how you can pick up an injury so quickly again, especially when its just a very brief training run out.
I hope its nothing but January to July no appearances is a concern i would suggest whatever the reason for not being able to play, its not a good situation for us or him.
Fingers crossed its nothing then.
I think though fans have a right to ask questions. He was brought in to cover an injured player and he has been injured ever since arriving.

Went to an away Port Vale game with a pal of mine and bought tickets for the raffle drawn at half time, my mate says "hey that's my number" they've drawn out, saw a steward and he said you have to go up to the porta cabin to claim.
So on the rush to get there and back before the start of the second half my mate trips on the stairs going up to the cabin and immediately collapses in great pain, nether the less he forces himself up the stairs to claim his prize and it was----------------2 tickets for Port Vales next home game, he decided not to take them up on this generous offer.
